[Vixion] Master Grade 1/100 Epyon Gundam Review

Finally i have time to review this kit. Its done since Saturday, but i have no time to take picture of it. Enough for the chit chat.

Its height is around 18 cm, however Epyon height according to mahq is 17.4 m. Seems bandai change the size to match the proportion. Actually im quite amaze with the proportion, its looks great.

It has more detail than HG 1/100 but still has an empty space for modifying or i prefer to say for decal, since its katoki, its has a lot of detail. The fin detail on the leg is really good, looks like a fin but the detail is like a planes wing.

The back detail, as you can see the wing is detailed , the wing is bigger than the original design and has more engine detail. You dont have to afraid the MG cant stand , you can use the wing to hold it, however mine can stand with the wing wide open and didnt touch the ground. Its strong enough.

What i really likes about this MG . The Head , its really guntank [it's a slang word i used for Indonesian word Ganteng which mean "handsome" in english]. The body and shoulder detail is really good, i like it a lot, the panel line,shape, engine detail, they are really good.

The Leg has a machine detail in the frame.

The best gimmick in this kit, pull the wing down , it will open automatically.

The mechanism inside, the wing will open when you pull to red arrow dirrection. The yellow arrow is a pc part which enable the wing to rotate. Do not rotate it too much, since its pc part it will loose.

The heat rod is really elegant and really likes a whip . The heat rod has some locking system so you can pose it in any shape you like

Push each rod part to the red arrow direction , it will lock. How much it will lock? if you push it really deep , it will lock fully and has a sword shape like above , if you pust it half, it still can rotate a little but still locking. If you release it , it looks like a whip. This is a good feature to make a good pose. The locking part were made by abs , so its strong enough and hard to be loose.

The sword which is its main weapon, its conected by cable to the baterry which is on the waist. The cable is really long , its inside is some metal wire with 1mm diameter , its kind a hard to bend and really sturdy, this make it hard to pose while the cable is attached.. If you want to pose it attach the sword first, shape the cable and then attached it.

the full-length of the cable is 30 cm however i cut it to 23cm, i dont like too long cable, its really hard to pose. However the full-length of heat rod is also around 23 cm, its just a coincidence.

The MA Form which is twin head wyvern, its quite a big when transformed because the size of the wing and heat rod. Its easy to transform this kit, i only need 10 minutes while reading the manual , after that i can do that instantly, after changed its sturdy enough, the lock feature is really good.

The Wyvern head really cool , it really looks like a beast head. Its also has a open the mouth gimmick and show some sharp fang.

However The MA looks strange from these angle above , cant be helped i quess.

About the pose, it can do a lot of pose the articulation is good .Everything is strong enough to do any pose you want . However the kit itself is already cool, which makes a standing pose is cool enough. I really enjoy making and playing this kit. I have my own idea for this kit

im planning to give it a custom rifle, i will scratcchbuild it.

Somehow , its already has a place to mount this rifle when transfer to MA. Its actually a connector to the stand base. I will do this when i finished zulu and other commission work.
