Lending a Hand
PRAYER REQUESTS:
For the health of our family. We have been battling many illnesses lately and Kristina will have a thyroid biopsy done in March. For the new classes that the church is launching. For the growth and strength of La Fuente. For the perseverance and strength of our team.

In Mexico, you dont have to look far to find people in need. Just outside of town in a suburb called Ocotepec, there is a group of women who care for and feed the neighborhood children. Two times in the last few months, the members of La Fuente have helped in the effort and

people. It is an opportunity for us to teach about Jesus love at the

same time as we are showing it to those in need. The Church also frequently gives medicine, food, clothes, and more to those in need around them. I am humbled and honored to be a part of such a caring and generous group of people. May we all seek to see people the way Jesus does and act accordingly.

New Life in Christ

We were honored recently to share in the new birth Teresa. She and her husband Jorge had been attending services for a few weeks and she quickly began to ask some very important questions. After studying Gods Word, she made the decision to be baptized for the remission of her sins. We were blessed to share in the celebration as we gathered together to pray, sing, and read from the Bible. Please pray for our new Sister in Christ that she remain strong in her faith and protected from Satan.

Community of Faith
Once a month, members from all of the Churches of Christ in and around Cuernavaca have been meeting to sing, pray, learn from Spripture, and share in a meal together. Each congregation rotates in the responsibilities of organizing and hosting the gathering. It has been very encouraging to see the unity that is being fostered and is growing among the different congregations in town. It is a great testimony to our Mexican brothers who were the impetus behind these meetings and a great example to other communities lacking such unity. I will be preaching on the 23rd of this month when it will be our turn to host the event. Please pray for me as I prepare for this important task.

Whats New on the Horizon

We just finished a sermon series about the heroes of faith from Chapter 11 of Hebrews. It was encouraging to see our Mexican brothers preparing lessons and sharing in the responsibilities of preaching. In our Sunday morning adult Bible class, we just finished a series on the Life and Teachings of Christ. We are excited to be beginning a new sermon series on The Mission of God, and a new class on a practical approach to Evangelism. Additionally, we are gearing up to offer a course during the week on Spiritual Disciplines through Sunset Church of Christs online Spanish program.

Mission to Mexico City

Earlier this month La Fuente sent twelve people to Mexico City and Toluca to help and encourage the churches there. We met up and joined forces with a group of AIMers from Lubbock. It was a great experience for those of us who were able to go. I know that the Christians in those cities were encouraged, and it is a trip we will never forget.
