2. INFORMATION ABOUT UNIT/TEAM The Income Team is one of 2 teams within the Finance Operations section in the Finance Unit of Historic Scotland. The Finance Unit, under the Director of Finance, is responsible for the control of a budget in excess of 75 million and provides comprehensive financial support to all business areas within the Agency.

The Income Team consists of one part time and three full time posts overseen by a line manager.

3. SCOPE OF DUTIES Reporting to the Income Manager, your work will mainly focus on improving financial and procurement compliance and achieving payment performance targets. You will monitor outstanding invoice reports and liaise with Business Areas to ensure appropriate timely actions are taken. You will analyse payment performance statistics to identify aspects which could be improved and discuss with Business Areas; working with them to find solutions. You will also support continual development by providing Business Areas with updates on improvements achieved. You will produce periodical reports on retrospective purchase orders and approved variances between invoice and order/receipt values. You will be involved in contract compliance checks carried out by Procurement and check that tariffs charged on consolidated invoices match agreed contract rates. You will also carry out retrospective checking of reasons given for supplier set up once procurement/payment has been completed. There will be some reconciliation and audit tasks which you will be responsible for. There will be some general administrative duties required. 4. STAFF/OTHER RESOURCES TO BE MANAGED There are no staff or other resources to be managed in this post. 5. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES Monitor outstanding invoice reports and contact Business Areas on a weekly basis. Review monthly payment performance statistics for possible improvements.
