An average of 59% or below in either the lecture or laboratory will result in a failing grade (F) in the course. There is no curving of grades in this course. No exam results are dropped in computing the grade for any student. Course grades are determined by the students average. **NOTE: DO NOT MISS ANY EXAMS. ALL EXAMS MUST BE TAKEN DURING YOUR NORMALLY SCHEDULED CLASS TIME. If you must miss an exam due to a documented illness or emergency you are entitled to ONE make-up exam. Students must notify the professor about missing an exam. A missed exam must be made up by the last day of classes. The scheduling of a make-up exam is determined by the professor. Note that make-up exams may be more difficult than the original examination!

The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in the classroom.* *No audio recording is allowed in the class without first requesting and receiving permission from the professor.* *Video recording is strictly prohibited!* CLEAN-UP PROCEDURES: At the end of each laboratory class all students are responsible for: a) leaving the laboratory tables, laboratory material, and laboratory equipment clean and well-organized, b) pushing in all of the stools completely underneath the laboratory tables, and c) following the specific clean-up instructions given by the professor. REQUIRED LECTURE TEXTBOOK: Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology, 9th Edition. F. H. Martini, J. L. Nath, and E. F. Bartholomew. Published by Benjamin Cummings, an imprint of Pearson Education, Inc., 2012. COURSE BLACKBOARD SITE & QCC TIGERMAIL: There is a Course Blackboard Site which contains images of your laboratory models, slides, dissection specimens, and other material. You will receive information about the site through your QCC Tigermail email accounts. It is important that you regularly check your Tigermail throughout the semester to see if you have received any emails about this course. Professor Gheorghe Proteasa is the Coordinator of the Course Blackboard Site (gproteasa@qcc.cuny.edu). STUDENT LEARNING CENTER: The Student Learning Center is located on the first floor of the Library Building. The Center has A&P 2 laboratory models, a microscope, and A&P 2 microscope slides available for students to review. Students are encouraged to go to the Center and study the A&P 2 material available there. The Center also has free tutoring services. BI-302 SERVICE LEARNING HONORS PROGRAM: There is a BI-302 Service Learning Honors Program for eligible students that wish to participate. To be eligible a student must have an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher and must have earned in A&P 1 (BI-301) a grade of B or better. All students registered in the course will be sent an informational email about the program to their Tigermail.
