Sundarijal Power Plant site

Water Supply System to (Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited) KUKL.

The plant is shut down during load shedding as it cannot handle the locally connected loads. Hence, the power station is running at a lower efficiency.
The machine used at the project has been used for a long period of time and it needs to be replaced along with renovation work

The upgrading to 6 MW. Will be storage plant with construction of new pondage upstream of the current dam site

Power be transmitted to the local distribution grid of Kathmandu valley and surrounding VDCs.
This project will, to some extent, help reduce the power deficiency in the valley and provide electricity services to thousands of people. The existing intake tunnel and penstock will also have to be upgraded to handle the upgraded discharge. The hydro-mechanical and electrical will also be replaced and upgraded.

6 MW Hydro Electricity Project connected to the National Grid Power Generation

3 MW for 8 Months (Dry Months) 6 MW for 4 Months (Wet Months)
Free

energy of 640 kW to NEA

Reduction

of load shedding inside the valley. Possibility of developing the areas as a recreation centre, resort and picnic spots. Help to reduce shortage of drinking water in Kathmandu valley. It demonstrates new business outlook of hydro power plant.
