Why is the occurrence of cancer escalating? We now live in a world where we are

Farmer Percy Weston recounts his experiences and observations over a lifetime
of struggle on the land, and draws the reader into an intriguing story that
spans the years of transition from traditional methods of farming to the new.
Having a keen interest in chemistry, Percy believed there is a causative factor
for cancer via the food chain which science has totally overlooked. He proved
it first in animals in the 1940s and then again in humans by curing medically
diagnosed cases of cancer and arthritis which he realised had the same origin.

Having a strong interest in chemistry at school gave Percy Weston a good basic
knowledge of that subject and an understanding of scientific method. He planned
to be a doctor but unforeseen circumstances forced him to take on the
responsibility for the family farm instead.
Early on Percy had experiences involving the health effects of phosphorus which
were striking. At the age of six he became ill as a result of inhaling the
fumes from phosphorus impregnated match heads (this is before the days of
safety matches). He had unpleasant experiences with phosphorus impregnated
rabbit baits on the farm. He saw a school friend collapse in a science
laboratory when an experiment involving phosphorus went wrong. These were
separate and seemingly unrelated experiences - only later did he realise that
phosphorus had been involved on each occasion.
Later, as a farmer, Percy - in common with others in his district - became
involved in growing tobacco. This involved very heavy applications of
superphosphate fertiliser, at rates as high as a thousand pounds per acre.
Subsequently Weston noticed problems with his sheep - an arthritic condition
affecting their knees and cancerous lesions on their ears.

Plants grown in the soil so heavily treated with superphosphate exhibited

strange mutations. When he moved the sheep onto poorer pasture which had not
been treated with superphosphate, Weston noticed to his surprise that they
recovered. He moved some of them back onto the treated paddock and they
developed the same problems again - He moved them back off the treated paddock
and they recovered. The pattern was indisputable and impressive.
Years later Percy was afflicted with arthritis and a cancerous tumour that
developed on his hand. Remembering his early life experiences and remembering
that phosphorus had been involved, Percy wondered whether reducing his own
intake of phosphorus would have any effect.
Percy set about developing a low phosphate diet. He also experimented (as he
had earlier with his sheep using mineral licks) with supplements of alkaline
minerals such as magnesium and potassium, which he believed would counteract
the harmful effects of phosphorus and promote its excretion. The results
exceeded his expectations - The arthritis eased and gradually disappeared - The
cancer tumour dried up and finally broke away from his hand.
Percy continued his experiments with his low phosphate diet for several
decades, he was absolutely convinced that exposure to and consumption of
phosphorus/phosphate can cause very serious adverse health problems. Later
still he experienced such effects again as a result of the indiscriminate use
of organophosphate sprays in his district. The now infamous Agent Orange, used
in the Vietnam War, was an organophosphate herbicide.
Percys most impressive success was when he treated his wife with his low
phosphate diet and mineral supplements. She had been diagnosed with cancer of
the uterus by no less than three doctors, including the top gynaecologist in
their state (Victoria, Australia). The specialist had advised an immediate
hysterectomy. But following strict adherence to the low phosphate diet the
operation, that would have prevented her from ever having children, became
unnecessary. Mrs Westons tumour reabsorbed. Later she became pregnant and went
on to have two healthy children.
The specialist commented that he had never known of a woman in Mrs Westons
condition to survive for twelve months, let alone have children.
Percy Westons book is an outstanding read, full of fascinating detail about
his experiences and experiments. Anyone with a family history of cancer or
arthritis would be well advised to read it. Percy Westons diet is available he has published a chart showing the phosphorus content of common foods in
milligrams per hundred grams. He has published a second book titled Cancer
Fighting Foods.
A tablet form of his mineral supplement (Percys Powder), given the name
Rhomanga, has received certification under the very strict provisions of the
Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
It is indeed remarkable that Percy Weston and Hafer, two persistent and
