We can type by pressing keys on the keyboard of a computer. Using the keyboard you can type alphabets, numbers and enter them into the computer. Thus, a keyboard is an input device through which data is entered into the CPU of a computer.

Control Unit
Imagine the scene at a cross road without a traffic policeman or signals. If there were no traffic signals or policeman, then every person would like to proceed first and this would result in a traffic jam. The traffic policeman or signals control the movement of vehicles and maintain order. Just as the lessons you learn at school are stored in your brain, the computer also has a brain, where it stores the information or data entered. This part of the computer is called memory.
