Please pray that the Kindergarten operating in our facility would truly be a light to the community, and would be used by God to draw many people into His Kingdom. Please pray that the Lord would heal Sharilyn Mordaunt's dad (Harry) from his cancer, and for the Mordaunt family as they are apart until late March Please pray for the leadership and ministry teams in our church as they seek to help people, young and old, move from brokenness to wholeness in Christ through prayer, Sunday School, choir, dance, and worship. Please pray for all of the new, and new-ish parents in our church family as they navigate the many challenges that a baby brings. Praise God for the many Dominican youth that gathered in the eastern district for a Missions Festival. Countries from the least-reached areas of the world were featured. Pray that the Lord will send out Dominican international workers to be light and to push back the darkness. The Tonga Ministry Experience Once again, the Alliance Churches of New Zealand are planning a mid-winter ministry trip to the Kingdom of Tonga this July primarily to work with local churches and Christian ministries on the main island of Tongatapu. These trips have been both an incredible blessing and challenge in years past, and an initial information meeting will be held on February 17th at Blockhouse Bay Community Church (76 Dundale Ave) from 7:00. All are welcome to attend.
You're Invited! After church on the 3rd of March, some families from WHAC will be going up to Browns Bay to spend the afternoon at the beach, and YOU are more than welcome to come along. Meet by the playground at 2:30, and be sure to bring some nibbles, cricket bats... and sun block!
Psalm 1
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Decisions decisions In a world filled with change and opportunity, choices are unavoidable. Some decisions are easy... fries or salad? TV1 or TV3? Others are not... fries or salad (okay, it's harder for some people than others!)? Where should I go to school? How should I react to that stress in my life? Through the month of February, we will be looking some Biblical principles to help us make good choices. Sunday, 3rd of March As the Elders Board seeks to lead us further into fellowship and community, for one special Sunday, we will be moving from rows to circles and tables in a service that features worship, discussion and teaching. The topic to be addressed that weekend has yet to be decided, and suggestions are welcome.
A Financial Update Thanks for your generosity in giving, this last term saw us give to the Lord 98% of our budgeted giving to the Lord. Praise the Lord and good for you! This small shortfall, combined with our deficit budget means that we had to dip into our savings for $5,091 so far this financial year, but we are confident that as we continue to worship the Lord in our giving, and follow His plan for our lives and our church, He will supply all of our needs.
