To Study Peoples Attitude towards Street Food in Surat city

1. Introduction to topic Food. Its just a basic necessity of life but many people have different opinions regarding food. Some people have a hobby of eating food in their free time like when are watching televisions. Street food is the food which is very much Chatpata and Masaledar. Mostly Laariwalas sell the street food. We can find different laaris on the corners of the roads which serves different kind of food like Chinese, dosa, parathas, pani puri, sev puri, vada pav, sandwiches, and many more things. People like street food because it is easily available, cheap in cost and the taste is also good. Here we are going to know about the peoples attitude towards the street food. Surti people likes to eat varieties of food. They love food either it is of street or from the restaurant. Almost every weekend surti people go out with their families n enjoy the street food. 2. Objectives of the study Primary objective To study peoples attitude towards the street food in surat city. Secondary objective To know when people like to eat street food more like on weekends at different places to try different cuisines and varieties. To get the opinions from people why they llike more of street food than the restaurant stuff.

3. Importance of the topic Surat is a town in India where street food is all over the place. Made instantly, fresh and really cheap, every customer will certainly be pleased with the choices. Among the most recognized varieties are chaats, vada paus, and dhabas. Street lunches include the traditional mattar pulao, various assortments of fried rice and chow mien; furthermore, every customer who is in a hurry will find these dishes easy to make, delicious and ultimately healthy. Apart from the refreshing teas, customers may also opt for tasteful fruits juices or milkshakes. This topic will include the general public, surat municipal corporation(SMC), laariwalas, suppliers of raw materias, etc. the eating habit of street food of general public can be known. SMC is focusing on city cleanliness and keep environment healthy. We can know the level of hyginity maintained by the laariwalas. The raw materials like vegetables, spices, oils, etc. must b fresh and healthy too. Thus this study is important to know the all the above things. 4. Research Methodology Type of research design The research design used in this study is descriptive in nature. Collection of data a) primary data The data collected is through field survey. It will be collected for the first time only. b) Seconadary data Some of the data are collected through internet and magazines too. Local data of surat city are also used in this study. Sampling size the sample size would be of 100 samples in this study. Sampling method the method used here is convenient method. Sampling frame the frame of the samples is the surat city. Sampling element sampling elements are the citizens of surat city. Survey tool a structured questionnaire is the survey tool. Survey method the survey method used here is as personal interview of the citizens of surat city. Analysis of data The data is analyzed through charts, graphs, tables and other things. Statistical tool like mean, median and modes are also used in the study. Scope of the study My research is based on the peoples attitude towards the street food in surat city. It is important to know that why people are more attracted towards the street food. a) to be able to change the perception of people regarding safety and cleanliness ofstreet foods,b) to increase the level of awareness of customers on the different ways that the streetfoods can be introduced from a simple and ordinary recipes to a nutritious, stylishand savoury dishes or cuisine,c) to line up with other competitors using our unique approach in catering street foods,d) to offer an affordable but delicious and a satisfying street food.
