AN EVENING OF CONFESSION: A diocesan-wide celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Penance will take place in every church in the Cleveland Diocese on Wednesday, February 20, from 5:00-8:00 pm. Instead, please encourage invite a family member or friend who has been away from the church or hasnt taken advantage of this great sacrament of healing and forgiveness in a long time to do so. If he or she needs your support come! Greeters will be at the door; aids for celebrating the sacrament and other reading material will be available. This is a time of new beginnings. Please extend a heartfelt invitation to anyone you know who has been away. (Insert Graphic 1604-0010.tif) RCIA NEWS: Saturday marks the Rite of Sending for catechumens and candidates. CATHOLIC CHARITIES 2013 ANNUAL APPEAL This is the final weekend of the in-pew portion of the 2013 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal. All who have not received the mailing, or have not had a chance to respond to it, are asked to consider making a generous pledge to support the ministries and services provided by Catholic Charities. If you have received the mailing, please respond to it. There is a box on the in-pew envelope to indicate that you have responded by mail. This is not a special collection. Rather , the Appeal is the one time during the year that all Catholics are asked to make a significant pledge, payable in installments, to Catholic Charities in order to serve the needy, the vulnerable and the marginalized. This years appeal theme is: We Welcome, We Serve, We Support. We ask that each parishioner consider the blessing God has given to us as well as the good that we can accomplish when we act with the unity and strength of our faith. The impact of Catholic Charities cannot be understated. Over 276,000 people from every suburb and city in Northeast Ohio benefit from their programs and services each year. Please consider a generous gift to the Catholic Charities 2013 Annual Appeal, and please pray for the success of this important Appeal. Today, each of us is asked to support the Churchs evangelization efforts among African Americans and Native Americans. Your financial contribution supports Catholic communities on reservations, in rural areas and inner cities. Your support helps to open the door of faith for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Black and American Indian Communities. Together, join our journey to support our mission to the missions!
