Just few months in WCS and I already developed a social media framework, had handled a proposal call with a CFO, conducted a webinar for senior consultants and partners, got the pleasure of working in a growing company and had six amazing parties. My projects ranged from designing an investor relationship strategy for a real estate firm to developing social media based governance solutions for a city council. This kind of diversity in the work, the trust in me that my seniors and supervisors show, the responsibility I am given with are some aspects that drive me to office everyday.

My first project at WCS was for an Australian mining major. Was a great learning experience working with Subject Matter Experts in a cross functional team. Worked on developing a tracking mechanism for Iron ore separation and on an automated protection mechanism for laser scanners in harsh mining environments. Harshil Adesara IIM Indore Batch of 2011 harshilad@gmail.com Phone-07829424233 Working in a fast growing consulting firm like WCS has been exciting. The opportunity to participate in consulting assignments early on in your career is a definite plus. More responsibility very early is challenging but also exciting. We were part of a simulated, real-time consulting engagement where we learned how to deal with ambiguity, tight deadlines and a large amount of information while continuously interacting with senior management

My first project was for Best Buy Europe. The objective was to rationalize Finance & Accounting processes in shared services center. Consultants continuously discussed with the employees at customer site to understand the current processes and then to suggest the To-be processes. These discussions were very insightful as they gave a peek into the difficulties faced in execution. A strategy was made to study and change the existing processes to ensure that there is a gradual change. The engagement was later taken over by Wipro BPO for implementing the recommendations of Wipro Consulting.

Pedro Martinho ESADE Business School Batch of 2010

I worked in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project, which is a part of the e-governance program initiated by the Indian government to modernize their systems. In this case, the objective was to create a network connecting all the police forces within India to the same system, allowing for easier cross state pursuit of criminals, uniformity of processes, and automation of repetitive processes and ultimately, an increase of citizen satisfaction with a reduction in the cost of providing services. The great thing about working on a government consulting project is that your work will affect the lives of millions of people, you can make a huge difference!
