Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

God called Abraham to start a community, Moses to ground that community in Law; and Jesus to erase that separation between God and the community. We are not under law, we are ruled by grace.

John 10:16, I have other sheep that are not of this pen. I must bring them also.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Apostles Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The gospel is the power of salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:6 For God knows me. He knows that I will tell my friends and family and they will keep the way of the Lord. Genesis 18:19 God will make me a great nation and He will bless me; He will make my name great. Genesis 12:2

Abraham left his father and mother and obeyed God, going toward a ground that he knew nothing about. Because of his obedience he made a covenant with God and a nation was born from his family. They received special blessings from God. Adam and his family, called Israelites, were not like anyone else living on earth. While all other people worshiped idols, Jews worshiped the true living God. They still had problems with sin, but God promised to send a deliverer who would take the punishment for them and give them the power to say no to sin. God loves all people the same so if it seems He was showing special favor to Abrahams family. Remember, that it was only because He needed someone to be His promise carriers and the family of devoted followers to produce the Messiah. It was always His plan to offer salvation to everyone else too, but the Jews came first of Gods promises of Abraham. Cornelius and his family became some of the first people who were not Jewish to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. Cornelius conversion and baptism marked a new day for Gentiles.
