To provide a greater degree of commonality between 250-C20 and C2OB Engines and to improve the performance Iseve of the 250-C20, the 250-C20B P/N 6890550 Compressor Assembly is released for use on the 250-C20. The 250-C20B compressor assembly differs from the current production 250-C20 P/N 6853337 Compressor Assembly in the first and secondstage blade settings. The first and second-stage blade tips are opened approximately five degrees more than the 250-C20 blade tips to increase airflow. Existing 250-C20 compressors may be converted to the 250-C20B configuration by installing P/N 6890501 First-stage Wheel and P/N 6890502 Second and Third-stage Wheel Assembly only if P/N 6890530 Front Support is or will be incorporated simultaneously. This support features reset inlet guide vane to improve engine performance. Following incorporation of the new front support and wheel assemblies, the compressor rotor and assembly are reidentified.

Modify P/N 6853337 Compressor A.

Replace P/N 6878418 Compressor Support Assembly. Note:

Front Assembl:y with P/N 6890530

New production 250-C20 compressor assemblies, S/N 38262 and up, incorporate the new P/N 6890530 Support Assembly. Wheel with P/N 6890501 Wheel, Wheel

B. C.

Replace P/N 6876651 First-stage

Replace P/N 6876652 Compressor Second and Third-stage Assembly with P/N 6890502 Wheel Assembly.

III.

Reidentification A. Following incorporation of the new Compressor First-stage Wheel and Second and Third-stage Wheel Assembly, the Compressor Rotor Assembly is reidentified from P/N 6876772 to 6890529. The P/N is located on the impeller rear face and is electrochemically etched per AS 478-7A2. Obtain a new P/N 6876673 Compressor 1dentificat:ion Plate (Blank). Transfer all information from the old plate to the new plate except the compressor assembly part number and engine model. Identify the compressor assembly as 6890550 and the model as 250-C20/ C20B. Also, add the letter F to the compressor serial number. Information may be metal stamped, vibropeened or scribed.
