This Project also involves the integration of the Informatica with the netezza 5.0. Job Responsibilities: Installation of the Informatica 9.0.1 on the new server and configuration of domains and nodes for the server. Administration work involves creation of the folders and granting permission. Exporting the repository form the 7.1.4 and importing to the 9.0.1 and testing the workflow and troubleshooting for issues. Development work involves creation/modification of the new mapping, session and workflows to successfully connect to the Netezza (5.0) data base. IDQ development work involves creation of the new plan/mapplets to replace the functionality of the FirstLogic plan. Exporting the mapplet from the Developer and importing them into the PowerCenter. Description: Burger King Inc., is a global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants headquartered in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The first restaurant was opened in Miami, Florida in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton, and has since used several variations of franchising to expand its operations. Burger King Holdings Corporation is the parent company of Burger King; in the United States it operates under the Burger King Brands title while internationally it operates under the Burger King Corporation banner. It is a publicly traded company with investment firms of TPG Capital, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners each owning about 25% of the company. The project involved integrating Retail transaction files from daily transaction from USA, CANADA, GERMANY, CHINA and SINGAPUR restaurant system. The XML files are received from two external sources MICROS and TECH system. The XML files are loaded into the ODS system initially using the Informatica interface. The four transaction Retail, Tender, Inventory and Batch data from all the system are stored in the ODS system. The data is then loaded from ODS database into Datawarehouse. This provided Burger King with the capability to track and analyze sales performance from an actual and budgeted perspective and consequently decide the strategy for improving sales performance. The project involved integrating revenue files from daily snapshot from NASCO PORTICO and Facet system. The Cobol files from NASCO system are loaded into the ODS system initially. The revenue data from all the system are stored in the ODS system. The data is then loaded from ODS database into revenue canonical centralized Datawarehouse. This provided CAREFIRST with the capability to track and analyze sales performance from an actual and budgeted perspective and consequently decide the strategy for improving sales performance.
