VISION
“A Basic Ecclesial Community living the Gospel
through the service of the Lord and fellow men.”

MISSION
In the light of this Vision, the HFCC is commissioned to:
• Cater to the needs of all migrant workers with
Mary as Model;
• Organize activities and programs to promote holistic
formation of volunteers;
• Build and extend the family spirit within and outside the
community; and
• Establish linkage with other communities, organizations and agencies to help support the needs
and projects of the migrant workers.

DIFFERENT COMMITTEES/MINISTRIES:

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY

• Gives Holy Communion during the Holy Mass;

• Facilitates Bible sharing in some areas;

• Gives communion to the sick, in prison, etc.; and

• Visits factories and gives condolences to the bereaved Filipinos;

WORSHIP COMMITTEE

A. Lectors and Commentators

• Facilitate the flow of the Holy Mass;

• Proclaim the Good News during the Mass; and

• Lead the Holy Rosary before the Holy Mass.

B. Altar Servers

• Prepare the altar and all the things needed for the Mass; and

• Assist the celebrant during the Holy Mass.

C. Choir

• Assist and sing in the Holy Mass;

• Sing during special occasions; and

• Represent the community in some social functions

D. Church Stewards

• Help in the collection of mass offerings;

• Assist the mass-goers before and after the Mass;


• Check the orderliness and cleanliness of the surroundings after the Mass; and

• Assists in food preparation and physical arrangement during some occasions.

YOUTH MINISTRY

• Plans and initiates programs for the youth;

• Encourages, recruits, and facilitates seminars for the members of the community; and

• Represents the community during invitational programs of the diocese;

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

• Plans for enrichment seminars and trainings, spiritual activities such as retreats and
recollections, etc.;

• Acts as facilitator during the activities mentioned;

• Assists in the publication of the Newsletter; and

• Plans the needed formation of the community;

LABOR RELATIONS COMMITTEE

• Conducts labor counseling to Filipino workers who have labor-related problems and concerns;

• Coordinates with other agencies and organizations who can assist in solving varied problems
encountered by Filipinos;

• Disseminates labor-related issues and updates to the Community

• Coordinates with Justice and Peace Committee (JPC) on related activities and programs;

JUSTICE & PEACE COMMITTEE

• Coordinates with Filipino migrant workers’ organizations/association leaders, Philippine


Embassy, NGO’s and other related agencies;

• Helps conduct seminars/meetings/fora regarding migrant issues and concerns;

• Disseminate information concerning migrant and conduct signature campaigns; and


• Help in the documentation of activities and in processing cases.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

• Designs, installs, and maintains website

• Coordinates with Edcom and other committees

• Organizes community files and important documents

• Upgrades and maintains PC, LCD etc

• Takes charge of the technical aspect of the newsletter

• Documents all community activities such as photos, videos, etc

• Takes charge of sounds, and other audio visual needs; and

• Provides data/information requested by other organizations, when needed.

TEMPORALITIES

• Facilitate the disbursement of stipend to priests, nuns and other guest celebrants and speakers;

• Prepare the financial statement of the community for the Archdiocese and for publication on
the Newsletter;

• Coordinate with other committees as regards financial matters;

• Count, record and report all collections during Holy Masses; and

• Purchases all resources needed during special programs and events.

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

• Collaborates with hospitals, Immigration Office, Embassies, Police offices, business groups,
etc for assistance and services;

• Writes proposals for funding assistance;

• Form pool of translators composed of Filipinos and other nationals, and experts who can take
charge of interpretation and translation needs;

• Creates a directory of contact persons, support groups and institutions;

• Informs OFWs regarding proper contacts;


• Conduct dialogues and forum information sharing;

• Participates in supportive groups activities;

• Establish contact and coordinate with Phil-based agencies for assistance;

• Recommends individuals/groups/organizations for community recognition; and

• Coordinates with Justice and Peace Committee.

FIL-MISSION AUXILIARY ASSN. (FMAA)

• Assists the missionary apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church through the Mission Society
of the Philippines (MSP);

• Propagates missionary consciousness;

• Visits the sick, imprisoned, etc.;

• Promotes missionary vocation; and

• Organizes annual celebration of Fil-Mission Sunday.

SPORTS AND RECREATION

• Plans sports and recreation activities;

• Represents the community in other sports, cultural, and special activities;

• Coordinates with other communities; and

• Prepares special numbers such as cultural songs and dances for some social functions.

COMMITTEE ON WOMEN ISSUES

• Initiates advocacy and education programs for women;

• Performs debriefing and counseling to women in general, particularly to the victims of physical,
psychological and emotional abuses; and

• Refers concerned women to different agencies and organizations that may provide professional
help;
