Wilberforce was born in Research 6 1759 in Hull. He became Member of Parliament for Planning & resources 9 Hull and later Yorkshire. Wilberforce campaigned for Leadership 9 almost twenty years to get a Bill passed in Parliament Communication 10 to bring an end the British Global significance 9 Transatlantic Slave Trade. The campaign became Impact 10 very popular with the British public but there were many who opposed the campaign. Abolition was finally achieved on 25th March, 1807.

Martin Luther King Jr Research 8 was one the leaders of the American Civil Rights Planning & resources 7 Movement in the 1960s. King was shot on 4 April 1968 by an opponent of his campaign but the campaign continued.

Mrs Pankhurst was one of the founders and leaders of the campaign for the right for women to vote. She was often imprisoned for her violent tactics. She founded the Women's Social and Political Union. During the First World War Mrs Pankhurst also encouraged women to take over men's jobs. In 1918 women over 30 were given the vote.

Brain Haw is an anti-war Research protester who has lived in Parliament Square, London Planning & resources since June 2001. Lillian Bilocca, known as Big Lil, was a fishermans wife from Hull's Hessle Road fishing community. In 1968 three Hull fishing boats sank in storms near Iceland soon after each other and 58 men drowned. Bilocca believed more could have been done to prevent these tragedies and led a successful national campaign to improve safety on British trawlers.
