Oxford Engineering College (OEC) is an elite institution under the prestigious KSM Educational Trust, Trichy. Seminar Theme
Energy Engineering in emerging countries is plagued by shortages in installed capacity. The mismatch between available capacity and consumptions is accentuated by long gestation periods in installing green field power plants. World over governments are encouraging consumers to install their own renewable energy plants with grid interconnection facility. Power electronic converters play a major role in harnessing such small and distributed energy as the energy generation is intermittent and uni polar. This proposed national seminar dwells on the power electronics converters used for such distributed power generation with current research ideas in this field. The Department also offers Value Added Courses in PCB design, Embedded & DSP, Advanced control engineering to the students to make them distinct in their career.
