Fabby, Throughout your paper you gave a very clear and complete explanation of your sources of evidence, your research process, and your findings. The details really allowed me to understand your process and your conclusions. The detailed explanation of how you came up with your questions and how they were designed for specific purposes made your interviews an important source. Your very detailed analysis of the current state of bilingual education in Milwaukee set your paper within a context that was meaningful. You gave a clear sense of the

importance of this topic, both for you professionally and for policy makers. The chart that explained the different models was very clear and detailed. Considering the different models, the misconceptions, and the importance gave me a full view of the issues around bilingual education. You provided very detailed information about your sources of information and how they relate to each other. The information from the observations and interviews is woven throughout the paper and supports what you learned from the literature. You did an excellent job of melding the information from all of your sources into a unified whole. Your selection of people to interview (parents and teachers) and of observation sites is a strength of your paper. It gives a full picture. Your in-depth examination of bilingual education will be helpful for all teachers, even if they are not in a bilingual classroom. Your conclusion includes a thoughtful analysis of how your research relates to you as a future teacher. From the audience feedback I can see that others appreciated your work as much as I did. I have enjoyed working with you this semester. Good luck next semester-keep in touch and let me know how things go. Kathy
