I am in receipt of your most recent email. Our public records officer is out of the office today and is unavailable to review these documents. Pursuant to public records law, we must make these records available to you within a reasonable period of time. Under these circumstances, Monday is reasonable. I will have Mr. Brooke contact you Monday to schedule a convenient time for you to come to the office to review these documents. It is our position that notes are work product and not a public document. These notes will not be destroyed but will be separated from the rest of the file for purposes of your review.

I would like to review the entire file today if possible. The comment regarding interviews being work papers and not subject to public records law is noted however, I disagree. I request that you not destroy the interview notes and retain them as part of your official file as, if this can not be resolved, I may request a judicial order for access to the records. Please let me know when I may come in today. Regards, Maren On Fri, Mar 8, 2013 at 9:50 AM, Kisha Murphy <kmurphy@sa01.org> wrote: I am in receipt of your public records request. I was shocked that your investigation is complete as your office has not contacted me or interviewed me regarding the information provided to your office. I also have not received your letter mentioned by the reporter...interesting that it was available to the press on Thursday. As such, since you have completed your investigation, I would like to request that you retain all documents provided, interview notes and any other information your SA office used to investigate these matters. I would like to come in today and review your complete file regarding the investigation. After I review them, I would like to have copies of all notes, documents and other information made pursuant to a public records request. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to arrange a time for me to review all note, documents and other evidence obtained by your office. Respectfully, Maren DeWeese 850-316-7671
