Chapter 3 Research Design and Methodology

This chapter deals with the methods used in the study. A comprehensive discussion on how the data was obtained, validated and treated is presented herein. Methodology The researchers used the descriptive research method. The descriptive method is appropriate when determining the who, what, and how questions, so as with the needs, perceptions, and attitudes of the respondents on using technology in ECommerce. The researchers gained data from every students of Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship that will be future Entrepreneurs. The Descriptive Method has used questionnaires or survey questionnaires that have been used to gather datas and information that analyse by the researchers. Respondents The selected respondents are the students of Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship in the second semester of the year 2012-2013 at Quezon City Polytechnic University with the total number of ___. The number of respondents is obtained by using random sampling formula. Instrument Used On the general part of the questionnaire respondents were asked to ranked the statements regarding the reliability, impacts, issues, effects, advantages and disadvantages of E-Commerce. In addition, opinions and recommendations were also conducted on the questionnaire regarding the number of people who used E-commerce. Procedure of Gathering Data

The researcher first informed the school authorities of intention of interviewing the students of the university. The request was formalized by a letter to the Director of the Quezon City Polytechnic University explaining the reasons for conducting the study. The same information was given to the Professor of Writing in Discipline and the other administrative heads of the school for proper information to the intended respondents. The researcher personally distributed and conducted the survey. Once the forms were already filled up, the researcher gathered the data and proceeded with analysis. Treatment of Data The profiles of the student respondents were also taken which includes age, gender, year level, and section. The researchers will use the formula below to get the percentage and the statistical data of students. Also use Weighted mean and Random Sampling researchers to meet the weight and volume of the respondents that responded in the study entitled to Entrepreneurship in Modern Technology: ECommerce. Formula used: 1. P= General percentage of the response obtained from respondents f= Quantity / frequency response of the respondents n= Total number of respondents who responded 2. Results of this study that responded Amount of respondents answered the questionnaire 3.

n= total number of results / response N= results of the students as a tool to study = maximum number for the instruments used
