The Russell Report

March 4, 2013 Well, we are way over-due for a prayerletter. Ministry and life has kept us quite busy these past 5 months. Please forgive us for not sending a prayer update sooner. We will do better at this in the future. We are putting miles on our car as we travel around reporting to our supporting churches and participate in other ministry opportunities. We are now averaging about 1000 miles per week. We thank the Lord for keeping us safe as we have spent so much time on the road. As of today we are finally at full support! Praise the Lord! Please pray though. One of our supporting churches that currently supports us for $500/month may be dropping us unless things can be worked out in their church. If they do indeed drop us, we will once again be under-supported. In addition to the prayer request mentioned above, please pray for these needs: Scotts health. He has been having a few vision issues for the past several weeks. He went to a specialist and the doctor believes his vision problems are the result of silent migraines. He also is having problems with the knee that was operated on in Chile 14 months ago. We are praying he will not have to have another knee operation. Pray for our last church plant in Chile. While they continue to see growth and while they have an interim pastor, they still do not have a full-time pastor serving there. The interim pastor has been there for 11 months now. Please pray for our upcoming trip to Chile. We plan to travel in mid to late April and will be there for approx.. 5 weeks. Later this year we hope to travel to India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Togo, Ghana, and Liberia if God permits. Especially pray for Bangladesh. They are experiencing great internal unrest and it is very dangerous in some places. Please pray for the safety of our missionaries there. If this continues, it could hamper our traveling plans there later this year. Our daughter (Amanda) and her husband (Stephen) are expecting a baby the first of April. Stephen is studying at Miami University (of Ohio) to be an Engineer and is nearing graduation. Our son (Eric) and his wife (Amber) and their family are going through some new transitions and would appreciate your prayers. Eric serves as asst. pastor at their church in Ohio. Our son (Matt) and his wife (Jenn) are praying for Gods will as they seek to determine if God would have them serve as tent-making missionaries in Denmark. Our youngest son (Samuel) is studying at Miami University (of Ohio) to eventually go into Law Enforcement. He is a second semester freshman there. Our son (Luke) is also straying at Miami University (of Ohio) to go into nursing. His wife (Ellen) is an art teacher near Hamilton, Ohio. Our daughter (Laura) lives in West Chester, Ohio and is working. Thanks for praying! Because He Lives, Scott & Nikki Russell 2Cor. 4:5

Scott and Nikki with our 5 grandchildren. We love being grandparents! We took our children and grandchildren out for breakfast one morning at a local coffee shop. Looks like one did not enjoy this photo shoot!

Our church in Chile had 11 baptisms for 2012. Three men in the picture are deacons and one man is the interim pastor.

Serving in one of our supporting churches during a missions conference. We praise God for the great conference. A number of people responded believing God is calling them to either a short term missions trip or long term missions.

We had a great missions conference at the Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Lima, OH. pastored by Pastor Jim Jamison. The church took us on for support and we are thrilled. We made some great friendships and look forward to this new partnership for the future.
