CHAPTER-III
METHODOLOGY
3.1 INTRODUCTION In previous chapter researcher discussed about various studied and researches related to objectives to make foundation of his study. In this chapter will discuss about methods of his study, tool and technique for data collection, procedure followed in data collection. Because methodology provide a way for conducting the research in systematic way so to make his study effective and valid researcher must follow a reliable and scientific way. For successful research, researcher must use an appropriate tool and suitable method & technique. Thus it is important for a researcher to set up his methodology in proper & systematic way according to his nature and objective of study. 3.2 METHOD OF STUDY Nature of present study is descriptive. The following characteristics of present study keep it in category of descriptive research: It involves hypothesis formulation and testing. It uses qualitative and quantitative method to describe, What is. It describes analyses and interprets the condition that exists. It uses logical method of inductive-deductive reasoning. It describes actual situation rather than predictions. Thedd 3.3 POPULATION OF STUDY Population of study comprises students of private schools of Bilaspur who belongs to socially & and economically weaker section and getting free education in 25% reserve seat for socially & economically weaker section under RTE Act-2009. 3.4 SAMPLE OF STUDY In this study researcher uses purposive sampling to drew his sample from population. 3.4.1 Rationale for using purposive sampling Sampling technique of this study come under purposive sampling due to following reasons:-

In this study researcher sampled with a purpose in mind and have many predefined & specified group i.e. Students belongs to socially & economically weaker section and getting free education in private school under RTE Act-2009. This sampling technique allowed the researcher to select those participants who will provide richest information. Some schools have no such type of specified group or sample of interest so researcher did not take any risk and adopted purposive sampling.

3.5 TOOL AND TECHNIQUE FOR DATA COLLECTION 3.5.1 Introduction Researcher prepared and use self-made tool to collect data from sample. The tool contains thirty items which are divided in three parts, i.e. Part-I School Adjustment, Part-II Social Adjustment and Part-III Emotional Adjustment. Detail description is following:Table. 3.5.2 Preparation of Tool Before writing the item, researcher approached to various expert of his institution (i.e. Subject expert, method expert and language expert.). Researcher also approached to professors of some other institution via email and invited their suggestions in this regard. Researcher studied many books, thesis, journals, magazines related to subject
