Man and women pursue the same beauty myth

Well, this may be a very interesting subject to talk on because it contains most of our activities, it is a thing that most of people do: watching out for they look, the way they dress, the way they smile, even the way they walk and talk. Everywhere you go you can see advertisings that show you how pretty you can become if you do that and that, if you take a massage, some UHV that paints your skin in natural colors, a little make-up and so on. More and ore people are preoccupied of they look. Man and women go together in beauty centers spending money on their image. Some of them want to have curly hair. Some of them want it straight .Some of them want their beard done in some special shape ,their eyebrows colored and many more requires from the specialized personal of the beauty centers even though they arent public persons. Usual people like you and me spend time and money on they appearance. Beauty is a relative thing because you have it now and you can lose it tomorrow. The beauty equals the fact of being young and healthy .It is also relative because people have different points of view in this problem : what I can consider beautiful you can see it ugly or disgusting .For example I once met a girl ,colleague of mine ,and I admired her red hair and her skin ,looking very natural and unique .I said that to her and she told he she hates it . Another good example would be mans preferences when we talk about the feminine look. Some of them want small women, the others want a tall one, some of them want big breasts, and some of them are horrified by the big ones. We live in a colored world were the preferences are so diverse and so different because we have the right to think for ourselves. Lets talk a little about the males beauty. Nowadays men are becoming more interested in keeping their shape, they go to the gym, they eat healthy and many of these men are really enjoying the results of their effort. Women are more attracted on men who take care of themselves because they give the feeling of protection to their partner. It is true that not so many men are into this beauty pursues, but once they started they seem to like it. Women it understands that they do almost everything to look better, to feel good in their own skin. For ages women want to be pleasant for their partners. Lets not forget the way a look can influence a situation. A beautiful woman can get faster a job than a fade one ,also that the beautiful one has success and goes on faster with the problems because man are gentle and understanding with the ones that tickles their eyes. The image of women in the media illustrated in talk-shows, divertissement, news and publicity and the sites on the Internet is one that it is constructed as a fake identity accepted on the level of collective mental. The rapport of power between men and women proposed by the media puts women in an inferior position by promoting and sustaining prejudices, stereotypes of gender and the images of traditional woman. In time the power of men, the social and personal power; it became step by step the social and personal power of women. So at first the power in the relations of gender exercised on women, afterwards this power became resistance (the resistance of women at the inequalities and discriminations constantly exercised by men on them in public and

in private) and in the end the power of women became the power of action to follow their own interest. I think that beauty gives you the power to relate better, to trust in your own capacity of doing what you want. Sometimes the beauty is wrong presented in media, for example the pornography that uses the body in cheep ways to satisfy some lame people that cant have real relations because of some complexions. It is sad and trues that pornography and prostitution are not recent, the world has known these things for a long time ago, but what if we try to see also the nice part of our bodies and expose that in some other way. Television and media transmits and perpetuates, sometimes sustains and amplifies the stereotypes of gender, presenting the women in traditional roles or degradation constructing a feminine identity which has the tendency to become a model for girls and young women. Men presented in our society use to have an image that nothing can break their perfect aura that rounds them, everything they say is good and true, and even if they make mistakes they are quickly forgotten because they are aloud to mistake. When a beautiful woman appears on the screen and she makes a mistake we use to say Oh, shes nice all right, but not so smart and we smile .Women are punished for every thing wrong that she does when men are forgiven fast. I think we should try to share more of our wisdom with each other in a way that doesnt hurt anybody. We can do that. Sometimes the beauty without a little spirit it is only a paper whit a nice image on it but whit nothing under it. Sometimes the real beauty comes from the inside and it is show also on the outside. Everybody talks about beauty and the way we can get it .Men and women, teenagers and people that are not so young try this coat of beauty in some period of their lives. Lets just love each other and be more tolerant .Then we will see that the one that stands beside us is not that ugly as we saw him. True beauty comes from the heart.
