What, according to you, are the positive and negative consequences of collecting private data from people?

1. Introduction: (15 points) - a general remark about the current situation, the type of data that can be collected (name, address, DNA, fingerprints, blood group, etc) 2. Development: (25 points) - presenting the pluses and minuses of collecting private data: PLUSES e.g. - crime prevention, - may save lives (it is easier to find a good donor, for example), - helps fight against terrorism, - lets us identify a dead person, - allows us to contact old friends, lost family members.

MINUSES e.g. - may lead to too much control over an individual, - is the source of nagging phone calls from companies trying to sell their products/ junk mail/ spam, - identity theft, - the loss of privacy. 3.
