WORK SEQUENCE Hardness test shall be made on surface s after doing proper surface preparation. Brinell Hardness Testing of production weldmwnts shall be carried out. A set of hardness to be checked on base material, HAZ and Weld. The maximum hardness should be as per applicable specification. Hardness test on a production weld shall include a reading on the center of the weld and the heat effected zones on both side of the weld. To facilitate hardness testing, the weld reinforcement may be ground smooth, if necessary, but not less than flush with the parent metal surface. QC personnel will carry out the hardness testing. The hardness will be reported in Brinell Hardness Number. Extent of Testing: Weld joint shall be subject to Hardness Testing in accordance to .Clients specification. Acceptance Criteria: Acceptance criteria shall be as per ASME B31.3. QUALITY CONTROL Quality Control Engineer will ensure that the requirements as laid down in this procedure are complied with.
