Structure
The robust design provides rigidity and stability for heavy machining.

1 Headstock Innitely variable high speed spindle is able to provide excellent performance throughout a wide rpm range, from heavy cutting to high speed nishing. Superior rigidity and precision even during full power machining in steel.

2 Power High power and high torque spindle drive unit. 3 Column Triangular geometric design provides excellent support of the headstock assembly.

Romi D 800 Structure

4 Servomotors Directly coupled to high precision ball screws, eliminates a source of backlash and provides improved acceleration / deceleration and velocity.

5 Base Its wide stance design is highly rigidity and stable, resulting in better part nishes, longer cutting tool life and a longer machine life.

Tables The table is supported by a massive mono-block base designed to absorb vibration. Upper and lower tables move on linear guides and are driven by double-nut ball screws that guarantee positioning accuracy and repeatability.

GE Fanuc 0i-MC and GE Fanuc 21i-MB CNC High Technology CNC, excellent performance and reliability GE Fanuc 0i-MC and GE Fanuc 21i-MB CNC are provided with 10,4 color LCD monitor, 12 softkeys and two communication interfaces: RS 232 serial plug and PCMCIA card drive to send and store data. Conversational Programming Manual Guide i GE Fanuc 21i-MB CNC offers the software Manual Guide i, which enables simplied programming through data input in friendly screens that do not required ISO code knowledge. Programming is simplied through free form Drilling, Boring and Threading Canned Cycles, Milling Cycles and Prole Cutting.

Romi Mold & Die software package GE Fanuc 21i-MB CNC is standard equipment on the Romi D 800 AP Vertical Machining Center. It offers a package of special software functions: AI Nano Contour Control, Look Ahead of 80 blocks, Machining Condition Selection, Bell Shaped acc / dec after cutting feed interpolation, Bell Shaped acc / dec in rapid traverse, Bell Shaped acc / dec before look ahead interpolation. This Romi Mold & Die software package allows the CNC to control machines axis with precision and softness during high speed cutting (high rotations of spindle and high feed axis). This way, the machine can adjust for rough and nish machining in hardened steel, casting iron, aluminum alloys and others materials, in shorter time and with high nish machining quality in comparison to conventional machining processes.
