What is Microsoft Dynamics ERP/CRM suite?

This suite of integrated, user-friendly solutions is from Microsoft, the global software giant. In the last decade of their existence, these solutions have been extremely successful in the small and medium business segment. This is so because of their flexible architecture, state of the art in technology, global support and a robust eco system of partners and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors). Microsoft Dynamics suite consists of Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV and Dynamics CRM.

What are the products in this suite? How does an ERP implementation happen?

The company needs to buy licenses of the product from Microsoft through Partner organizations, selecting the modules and the number of users. The partner advises the customer company on these points. The implementation is done by the partner who deploys certified and experienced consultants who visit the customer site and implement the ERP An individual consultant will be a member of the implementation team, having experience and knowledge of the Dynamics product. He/she would involve in study, requirements finalization, and configuration of the product to process business transactions, customize the product when there is a mis match and train the users in the product usage. If the customer has a manufacturing operation, the ERP team will normally include a Project Manager, Finance Consultant, Supply chain consultant and a Technical consultant. The customer side would also nominate a project champion from their side to collaboratively work with the ERP team. Based on your subject of study, you take Dynamics Training in domains Finance, Supply chain. Sales & Marketing, HR. Spend a good amount of time practicing in the lab and prepare to take prometric test conducted by Microsoft for securing certification. After certification, you join a Dynamics partner company and gain implementation experience to mature into a ful-fledged consultant Microsoft Dynamics Partner organizations (like WIPRO, Tech Mahindra, Alletec, Godrej, Tectura etc), customer businesses who have implemented Dynamics suite of ERP would be the potential employers. What is certification by Microsoft Dynamics?

With a view to creating a pool of competent consulting resources, Microsoft has prescribed a whole lot of syllabus in its ERP suite. There are Dynamics partners who train students in this prescribed syllabus. After the training, the student is expected to take a prometric test conducted by Microsoft. If successful, the student gets a certificate signed by directors at the highest level. This certification enables the student to increase significantly his/her chances of a job. Your college or B-School can sign up to become an Academic Alliance partner of Microsoft Dynamics under the program DynAA. This will be facilitated by KCIG. There are no fees or costs of signing up!

How can my college help me in this? What are the benefits of Microsoft Alliance for the college? What can KCIG do here? How do we go about this endeavour? How will KCIG enable us face the Microsoft certification test?

Once the college becomes a member of DynAA, it would enable them to get Dynamics licenses FREE of COST. Once the licenses are installed in the college lab, training programs can be conducted which would enable students gain the certification before completing their course. This would multiply their chances of placement.

As the founders of KCIG have close working relationship with Microsoft, KCIG can coordinate and help in signing the Academic alliance agreement. Once this completed, KCIG would conduct value added training programs in Dynamics ERP.
