Hosts Silvia Bunge UC Berkeley Psychology Dr. Silvia Bunge is associate professor, vice chair, and head graduate advisor at UC Berkeleys Department of Psychology, as well as an associate professor and executive committee member in the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute. She is one of 11 members on the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child and a founding member of the Frontiers of Innovation initiative.

Michael Ranney UC Berkeley Education Dr. Michael Ranney is associate professor at UC Berkeleys School of Education and heads Berkeleys Reasoning Research Group. His research explores the nature of explanation and understanding in both formal and informal domains. Ben Rubin - Children Now Children Nows mission is to find common ground among influential opinion leaders, interest groups, and policymakers, who together can develop and drive socially innovative, win-win approaches to helping all children achieve their full potential. Orville Jackson - The Education Trust The Education Trust promotes high academic achievement for students at all levels pre-kindergarten through college. They work with educators, policymakers, and community leaders to help improve schools and colleges, analyze local, state and national data to build a broad understanding of opportunity gaps, and participate actively in national and state education policy debates. Doug Brown and An-Chi Tsou - California Council on Science and Technology CCST is a nonpartisan, impartial, non-profit corporation designed to offer expert advice to the state government and to recommend solutions to science and technology-related policy issues. CCST also sponsors the California Science and Technology Policy Fellowships, which place professional scientists and engineers in the California State Legislature for one-year appointments. The fellowships are ideal for qualified applicants who are interested in improving the interface between science and legislative decisionmaking and who want to learn the public policy decision-making process.
