Abstract for Group Project CATIA (Group B7)

Title : Universal Waste Management Blender Problem Statement:

Chicken seller nowadays normally process their chicken from slaughtering up to washing and selling those chicken to the consumers in the market. But , during the processing of the chicken , the waste products such as the internal organs and feather are largely just left lying around a corner at the chicken stall. This create a bad impression to most consumers , emitting foul smell , making the stall untidy and also it attracts flies. Furthermore , other kind food selling business such as restaurant , vegetable stalls , and others , these kind of food selling business also facing problems in managing their waste products. Besides that , it also caused additional money to manage those waste.

Process of Planning
At first , we just think of a container that may use to store the waste product before throwing it away. But then , after our group discussion , we use the concept of recycle and decide that we should try to process the waste products and even gaining profits from the waste. Idea (Problem Solving) Basically , we need something to contain these waste product and process it for further management. Our group come out with an idea of a type of blender that will able to blend the waste product and fractional filter it according to sizes. Furthurmore , our blender also will be able to contain these waste products and keeping the surroundings clean and tidy.

Diagram for our universal blender.

Functions:
1. The waste products is poured or put into the blender container in the first picture. There are blades on the bottom of the bowl. This machine basically works like a blender. There are a motor directly under the blender container. 2. After the waste products is inserted , the cover is closed and the motor is switched on. At the same time , water is added in to the big bowl. The waste product will be blended. 3. After blended , the contents will be poured into the cabinet beside as shown in figure 4. 4. Inside the cabinet , there are filter films which is increasingly finer from top to bottom. At the last section of the cabinet , it is used to collect any waste liquid produced during blending. 5. The many layer of filter films were to achieve a different sizes of the contents. Each layer of the filter system can be open up and emptied out the contents. 6. For example , the top shelf will have a course grade content. Subsequently , the grade of the content will become finer and finer in the following shelf.

Benefits:
1. Better waste management 2. Cleaner surroundings (stall condition) 3. Required less human work in processing the waste products 4. Making extra profits from the processed waste products by selling to livestock farmers as food to animals such as goats and chickens. 5. Waste product involving meats can be processed and then to be sold as food to fish farming business as food . 6. Processed waste products also can be used as organic fertilisers 7. Low cost in terms of electricity because low power consumption 8. Can be used for processing waste products involve in biomass decomposition
