Adult Basic Education Learning is lifelong. Do you want
free help to improve your reading skills, writing skills, spelling,
and/or math skills? Do you want free help to study for the GED,
develop good employment skills, learn computer skills, and learn
English as a second language? ABE/GED/ESL classes are held
Monday nights, 6:15-9:15 p.m., Benson Sr. High Room #323

SACC (School-Age Child Care) Our program is named
Safe B.A.S.E.. It provides quality child care for school-age
children (grades K-6 2012-13). The children will participate
in planned activities and will be supervised by qualied SACC
staff. Pre-registration is required. School-year Safe B.A.S.E.
hours are 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (before school) and 3:00 to 5:30
p.m. (after school). A summer Safe B.A.S.E. program is also of-
fered (6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Pre-registration is required. Slots
will be lled on a rst come, rst served basis. Forms are avail-
able at the Community Education ofce. For more information,

BHS Indoor Pool Closed The indoor pool at Benson High
School is closed indenitely for boiler maintenance. Please listen

Senior Defensive Driving Classes Defensive Driving class-
es are offered to people 55 years of age and over to review and
discuss courteous driving and the rules of the road. If you are 55
years of age and older, you receive 10% off your auto insurance
for three years, after completing the eight-hour class. You must
repeat the class every three years and can do this with the four-
hour class. Cost is $14.00 per class (payable to Benson Commu-
nity Ed). Registration and payment are due one week prior to
the class. You will be asked to give your drivers license number,
name, address, and phone number at time of registration. Call
Community Education at (320) 843-4545. The classes are pro-
duced by the MN Safety Council.
