Separated drives for perfect mixing results in no time

Mixers of the SM series are the perfect solution for

manufacturing concrete for paving stones and bor-
der stones, hollow blocks and plates, or for pipes
and manholes. Thanks to their high mixing inten-
sity, planetary compulsory mixers are particularly
ideal for concrete types with a low water-cement
value, for earth-moist concrete.

SCHLOSSER-PFEIFFER mixers are used successfully by

companies all over the world. They are characterised by
very long service life, high reliability, excellent mixing per-
formance and minimum maintenance need.

SM series mixers for simply better

mixing results
According to ISO 18650 definitions, mixing results with
a variation coefficient of less than 7.5% are considered
good. The faster a low coefficient is achieved, the better
the mixer. And SM series mixers achieve a coefficient of
1%! Even at very short mixing intervals!

Separate, clean drives

The central drive actuates the tool carrier plate via the
gear system. Depending on mixer size, the gear system
is actuated by one or two main drives. The rotating tool
carrier plate carries the eccentrically mounted stone drives
containing the mixing tools.
All motors are installed outside of the mixing chamber
for protection and easy access. High drive reserves and
the separated drives make it possible to stop and restart
the mixer at any time during production.

 Adjustable mixing blades
The mixing arms are height-adjustable. They are individu-
ally adjusted for every application and are made of special
materials. The level of precision used for fine-tuning and
adjusting the tools translates directly into better mixing
results, reduces wear and tear, and protects the drives
from impact stress.

Large segmental doors

For cleaning and maintenance, the mixer wall is equipped
with either one or two swivelling segmental doors,
depending on mixer size. These doors are generously
dimensioned and protected by limit switches. They pro-
vide a large opening all the way to the floor, for easier
cleaning access.

Wearing protection lining Discharge

Upon request the mixer will be equipped with a replace-
able wearing-protection lining made of chilled casting
tiles or welded-on composite boards or a similar mate-
rial. The material used for the wearing-protection lining
depends on the texture of the concrete processed.
The mixer of the SM series can be provided with up to
3 separate discharge openings. A discharge accelerator
is also available to reduce the discharge time by up to
50%.

Concrete and more

SM series mixers are the perfect choice for processing a
wide range of different concrete types containing a large
variety of aggregates, colour pigments, and materials of
any kind. In addition, SM mixers are also ideal for mixing
other materials such as e.g. ceramics, clay, lime sand
brick, slag and flue dusts.

Control
SM mixers come standard-equipped with a fully auto-
matic control system. This PC aided control system is
responsible for batching the various individual compo-
nents and creating the desired mixture. Upon request the
control system is available with a visualisation, statistics
programs, printer, remote maintenance, etc.

Manufacture
Our machines are developed and designed using state-
of-the-art 3D CAD/CAE systems. The materials and com-
ponents used in the manufacture of our machines and
plants are selected to meet the strictest quality require-
ments and are quality-checked on a regular basis by in-
house quality audits.

Our machine components are manufactured from certi-

fied steel qualities, using CNC welding, milling and drill-
ing technologies. The resulting machines and plants are
characterised by low manufacturing tolerances and a
correspondingly high quality standard.
