Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter March 19, 2013

Pastors Notes: This weekend brought several things to us: 1) the end of our 21 day fasting. Weve already had some to tell us that God has answered prayer! Others are testifying that the enemy has come against them with a vengeance. We knew this was a very real possibility, yet we must persevere. We must continue to P.U.S.H. (pray until something happens). We must continue to seek the face of God and go after Him like we have not in a long time. We must be determined that we will not cease until God has moved and done what we need Him to do. I am truly convinced that if weve ever needed revival, we need it today. We need ALL of Gods people, in Woodruff, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, the United States and the entire world to become STIRRED againREKINDLED, TRANSFORMED! I want to draw closer to Him so that I can become everything He has intended for me to be. What about you? Do you have that same desire? What are you willing to do in order to receive that?

Our first weekend of REKINDLE revival services with Chris & Amanda Jarrard just ended. I want to remind you again.a man or woman CANNOT bring revival. It is up to us to seek God for ourselves and to achieve the spirit of revival. Then the Word of God preached by a man or woman will become meat & drink to our thirsty souls. PLEASE, please.do not let anything keep you from being part of the coming weeks services. Chris & Amanda will be back with us on Saturday night, and both services Sunday. The success of these meetings depends on us and our hunger for the Lord. I look forward to seeing ALL of you in church this weekend!

WORSHIP WEDNESDAYS. For the 3rd week in a row, well be having WORSHIP WEDNESDAY. A time to do nothing but worship and seek the face of God. What a great time were having. We sing and flow with the Spirit, we listen to the Word read, we watch videos about worship..it is a great time! Please join us and be with us Wednesday at 7:00 PM GOOD FRIDAY.. There is a group of church members and leaders who are concerned with the spiritual plight of Woodruff. They believe that it is very possible for God to transform this community, but it will happen when we come together in unity and join together in PRAYER. Some of these people have been praying already but they want to invite others who will join in and believe for transformation for our community. We have personally prayed for this for years. We used to have a banner hanging in our sanctuary that said our city. We prayed for our city and wanted God to send revival. We STILL pray for our city! Now, others are beginning to take this seriously as well. FRIDAY, MARCH 29th, beginning at 8:00 PM, there will be an all night prayer meeting in the Woodruff Community Center located on Main St., Woodruff. You are given a personal invitation to join with others and intercede for our community. I hope to see you there!

Mark your calendars: Sunrise service on the new property: 7:30 AM (time change from last year.due to Easter being in March). Bring a lawn chair and worship with us! Communion & Feet Washing, Easter Sunday night at 6:00 PM. This is a powerful time each year as we take communion and practice the washing of the saints feet on the most holy day of the Christian Calendar, EASTER. If you dont know what communion or feet washing is, come and just listen to the explanation of each and watch what others do. It could be a great learning experience for you. If you are a believer, you need to participate in these. Please be in prayer for the Honduras Mission Team that will be leaving on April 1st. We have 10 from our church going, along with 2 from Williamston Church of God and Chris & Amanda Jarrard. We are excited about what God will do among our people and the people of Honduras. We will be doing the following projects: 1. Putting on 2 new roofs on 2 pastors houses 2. Pouring a concrete floor in 1 pastors home 3. Doing childrens ministry in 4 church locations, potentially reaching 1000-1200 kids 4. Given de-wormer & vitamins to 300 children 5. Providing toothbrushes to kids who dont have them and do not know how to use them 6. Providing washcloths, soap, and other hygiene items 7. Doing a childrens service on Tuesday night and regular worship service on Thursday night 8. Showing the Honduran people that WOODRUFF CHURCH OF GOD LOVES THEM!!!!!
