THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND TARES (TONGUES AND REVELATIONS) THE TONGUE OF THE LORD (1 Corinthians 12:10)

(Matthew 13:24-30) Another parable [Greek: a similitude, i.e. a symbolic fictitious narrative of common life conveying a moral:--comparison, figure, proverb] [i.e., conveying something other than it is] put he forth unto them [the multitude, including His disciples], saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man [the Son of man verse 37; Jesus Christ] which sowed good seed [the good seed are the children of the kingdom v.38, herein designated as wheat] in his field [the field is the world verse 38; cosmos, universe]: But while men slept [i.e., did not pay attention to both the ministry [in yourself] and to the world [outwardly]; Be sober [in yourself], be vigilant [outwardly] 1 Peter 5:8; e.g./example, Gideons 9,700 who sucked the water like babes at the breast but ignored the threatening enemy], his enemy [adversary the devil 1 Peter 5:8; Satan] came [surreptitiously, sneakily, covertly, clandestinely, cunningly, craftily, these last two like the Hebrew definition of the serpent Genesis 3:1] and sowed tares [Greek: darnel or false grain] [a poisonous seed resembling wheat] [the tares are the children of the wicked one verse 38] [by extrapolation fallen angels] among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade [stalk] was sprung up, and brought forth fruit [black headed tares and golden headed wheat], then appeared [Greek: be seen] the tares also [the poisonous black heads]. So the servants [disciples] of the householder [Greek: the head of a family, master of the house] [Jesus Christ] came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence [from where] then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy [adversary, the devil, Satan] hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them [(for thou [God], even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 1 Kings 8:39 & 2 Chronicles 6:30]. Let both grow together until the harvest [which coming is announced by the rapid appearance of greater and greater numbers of tares]: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers [the reapers are the angels verse 39], Gather [Greek: sullego; collect] ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles [associations, alliances, organizations: e.g., homosexuals, feminists, abortionists (in preparation)] to burn them: but gather [Greek: sunago; assemble: convene; spec. to entertain (hospitably)] the wheat into my barn [into my ark (Noah = Hebrew: rest), into my tabernacle (Moses = Hebrew: drawn out of the water)].

THE GOOD SEED: interestingly, that a man tookis still mingled, but in the time of harvest the mingling has become visible to His servants because then appeared the tares also. (Matthew 13:31-32) Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed [good seed], which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds [indicating absolute humility, example: the complete and total absence of pride]: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge [Greek: to camp down, i.e./example, haunt; figuratively - to remain] [establish strong holds 2 Corinthians 10:4] in the branches thereof. 1. Herb = Dictionary: 1. a flowering plant whose stem above ground does not become woody and persistent. 2. Commentary: the seed is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree = foregoing miracles, herbs never become trees in the physical earthly world, thus this parable is a metaphor and illustration of the miraculous transformation process that occurs in the spiritual world when we become born-again [by Water baptism and the renewal of the Holy Spirit] into a new creature (John 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15) in Christ Jesus. One might note that in the Bible a tree is symbolic of a man (too many references to mention), and also symbolic of Jesus Christ (Luke 23:31), and also symbolic of the cross (Acts 5:30; 10:39; 13:29; 1 Peter 2:24). 3. Commentary: the birds of the air = initially designated by Jesus as fowls and interpreted by Jesus as the wicked one (Matthew 13:4 & 19), the fowls of the air and interpreted by Jesus as Satan (Mark 4:4 & 15), the fowls of the air and interpreted by Jesus as the devil (Luke 8:5 & 12) symbolize demons, fallen angels, unclean spirits, devils, representing false doctrines (branches) or pathways of thought proceeding (growing away) ever farther from the truth and leading one off track from God. THE BAD (THE EVIL) SEED: interestingly, that a woman took (Matthew 13:33) Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven [symbolic of false doctrines (wandering branches of thought): Matthew 16:6,11-12; Mark 8:15; Luke 12:1; 1 Corinthians 5:6-8; Galatians 5:9], which a woman took, and hid [indicating cunning, crafty deception, Hebrew characteristics of the serpent]

in three measures of meal [meal is crushed ground up seeds, hence symbolizing the truth of one God manifested in three forms: the father, son, and the Holy Ghost], till the whole was leavened, or completely mingled, defiled, impure.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES TO THE MULTITUDE (Matthew 13:34-35) All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables [or in tongues]; and without a parable [tongue] spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. 1. (1 Corinthians 1:18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish [the unsaved] foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 2. (1 Corinthians 2:14) But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. INTERPRETING THE TONGUE (DISTRIBUTING REVELATIONS) ONLY TO HIS DISCIPLES A. THE DEFINITIONS (Matthew 13:36-39) Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us [Greek: through the idea of defining; to indicate, such as to (specifically) to expound] [teach, explain, interpret] unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world [Greek: kosmos; cosmos universe]; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world [Greek: aion; this world]; and the reapers are the angels.

B. THE PROPHECY (Matthew 13:40-43) As therefore the tares are gathered [Greek: sullego; collected] and burned in the fire [i.e., the fire of judgment at the second coming of our Lord and the end of the Great Tribulation; the first part of the Tribulation being when the tares will be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:8), i.e./example, collected to burn them (Matthew 13:30)]; so shall it be in the end of this world [Greek: aion; this world]. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather [Greek: sullego; collect] out of his kingdom all things that offend [the Lord God], and them which do iniquity [Greek: illegality, i.e./example, violation of law or (in general) wickedness:-- a transgression of) the law, unrighteousness] [because the Law (logos: John 12:48) will be the judge of those who are unsaved, i.e./example, the unforgiven]; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire [at the conclusion of the Great Tribulation (2 Thessalonians 2:8)]: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous [golden heads of wheat] shine forth as the sun [be glorified] in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 1. (2 Thessalonians 2:6-12) And now ye know what withholds [is restraining NKJV] that he [the Antichrist and his minions possessed by Satan and his minions] might be revealed [made apparent, become visible] in his time. For the mystery of iniquity [Greek: unrighteousness] [lawlessness] [disobedience to the Holy Law of God] doth already work: only he [the Holy Spirit] who now letteth [restrains] will let [will do so], until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked [the Antichrist and his minions possessed by Satan and his minions] be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume [For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29] with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his [second] coming: Even him [the Antichrist and his minions], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish [Greek: are destroyed fully]; because they received not the love of the truth [Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6], that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie [i.e./examples, the biggest, strongest, most delusional lie some believe is that President Obama is telling the truth in all things]: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness [Greek: iniquity]. Amen.
