Mission
The mission of the doctorate degree programs is to nurture a research-propelled, technology-enabled and industry-linked higher education platform so as to achieve a seamless integration of intellectual strengths with current market needs as well as to develop niche capability required to bolster research efforts in futuristic science. The doctorate programs are offered with the emphasis of practical and real-world applications in both the course work and the doctoral thesis requirements.

Objectives
The doctorate degree programs emphasize both mastery of subject matter as well as an understanding of related research and research methodology for professional-oriented projects/theses. The objectives of the doctorate degree programs are to: a) Disseminate advanced knowledge in science and technology, by providing teaching and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit, particularly in emerging areas and such areas as may emerge in future. b) Undertake inter-disciplinary studies and research. c) Take appropriate measures for innovations in teaching and learning processes. d) Create an ambience for learning and scholarship in advanced science and technology . e) Educate and train manpower in scientific and technological fields. f) Establish linkages with industries in India and outside India for the promotion of science and technology; g) Collaborate, in appropriate areas in the field of science and technology, with reputed universities and institutions in India or outside India. h) Promote research in science and technology having a bearing on social, economic, cultural, intellectual and academic welfare of the people.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS Ph.D. Programmes The award of the Ph.D. degree is in recognition of high achievements, independent research and application of scientific knowledge to the solution of technical and scientific problems. Creative and productive inquiry is the basic concept underlying the research work. Techno India Group offers doctorate degree programs in following areas:
(1) Ph.D in Electronics & Communication Engineering. (2) Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering. (3) Ph.D in Electrical Engineering. (4) Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering. (5) Ph.D in Civil Engineering. (6) Ph.D in Management Studies. (7) Ph.D in Food Technology. (8) Ph.D in Bio Technology. (9) Ph.D in Biomedical . (10) Ph.D in Physics. (11) Ph.D in Chemistry. (12) Ph.D in Maths.

Course work and other academic requirements: In order to overcome any deficiency in the breadth of fundamental training or proper foundation for advanced work; special make up or pre-doctoral courses are given by each Department/ Centre. These courses are given either by faculty member or by guests speakers and specialists in the profession. Normally candidates having a B.Tech or equivalent degree are required to complete a minimum of 12 * credits with a minimum required GPA of 7.5. M.Tech or equivalent degree holders are required to complete a minimum of 6* credits with a minimum required GPA of 7.5. Admission to the PhD Programmes: Admission to the Ph.D. programmes is normally made on the basis of a interview conducted by the Department/Centre concerned through its Doctoral Advisory Committees(DAC). DAC may decide to conduct a written test as well to screen the candidates. Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in Employment News/leading newspapers .Most PhD Programs are associated with Govt. & Industry Sponsered Contract R & D programs in association with Industry partners that would give best Industrial Research Exposure .All selected candidates would be offered Teaching/Project Assistanceship with scholarship of Rs. 8000 to Rs 25000/- based on merit and experience. Admission schedule: Normally, Ph.D. programmes are advertised in the month of March and October each year in the Employment news as well as in leading newspapers and admissions are carried out in the months of May and December. Further, admission to Ph.D programme is possible any time in the year through DAC. They can be allowed to join any time though the course registration in such cases will be possible only at the beginning of the next semester. Candidates seeking admission under this clause must fulfill the required academic qualification/ experience at the time of interview. They must also join within 4 weeks after the issue of admission offer unless specifically permitted to do so. Admission is subject to vacancy being available in the relevant specializations. Duration of the programmes: Minimum period of registration required for students with M.Tech. or equivalent qualifications is 2 years whereas those with B.Tech. or equivalent qualifications is 3 years. All candidates are allowed a maximum of 7 years for submission of their thesis.
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D Admission: Fresh or Experienced B.Tech , MSc , M.Tech , MCA and MBA qualified meritorious candidate with excellent academic background .

Doctoral Advisory Committees

Each doctorate degree program is governed by its Doctoral Advisory Committee. The committee is responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining the doctorate degree program. Committee members include qualified faculty and administrators as well as other qualified professionals not affiliated with Tehno Global University. Each committee is knowledgeable in methods of research and in the subject matter, co-chaired by credentialed individuals with expertise in the program area. While pursuing their studies in the doctorate program, the students are required to work with their respective Doctoral Advisory Committee as well as advisors appointed by the committee.

Library
The Central Library of Techno India Group provides students and Faculty Members resources for their varied needs, comfortable and peaceful environment conducive to study, and help in locating and using the resources. Resources of the Central Library include Books, E-Resources, Magazines, and Newspapers. The text book collection in the library provides vital support for on-going PhD teaching programme. The library is also developing a fine collection of books on Literature and English Language, and also on sports, biographies, and general interest titles. The magazines and newspaper section includes all prominent technical and general magazines and local and national dailies. The Library provides access to many e-resources such as collections of journals from reputed

publishers such as Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Sage, Wiley, and Nature Journals, American Chemical Society and Royal Society of Chemistry Journals, American Institute of Physics Journals, American Mathematical Society Journals, ACM Digital Library, and SciFinder. E-books from publishers such as IEEE are also available. The Library regularly organizes Demonstrations and Training Programs for various E-resources to facilitate maximum utilization of these resources. The Library is in the process of introducing various new services to users in addition to the Lending Facility, Reading Room Facility, Renewals, Reservations, etc. currently available. A Library software will be in place shortly which will enable the users to check the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) from anywhere in the institute premises. Library Orientation classes are held for new students where they are informed about the library collection, services, rules and regulations, and library staff members. The Library has its own Blog and wiki and also a Twitter account. The blog is used as a channel of communication with users whereas the wiki provides information such as lists of books, Book Recommendation Form, etc. Twitter is used for announcements of events such as Library Orientation classes. In addition to this, the Library organizes regular Book Displays in the Library where books on a variety of topics are displayed and Faculty Members are invited to browse through the books and recommend them for purchase for the library. Transfer of Credit Students who wish to transfer graduate credit from another recognized institution are allowed to transfer a maximum of twenty (20) graduate semester units towards a doctorate degree at Techno India Group. Life/Work Experience: No credit will be awarded for life or work experience.
