er!I pledgetobeaanadvocateforexcellentdesigninallaspectsoftheCommunityMaritimePark.Itis vitallyimportanttomethattheentrancestothepark(asviewedfromW.MainStreet,S.Spring,andS. Devilliers)projectapowerfulstatementofcivicpridewhilefosteringtheexpectationforexcellent designthroughoutthepark.Allofthepark'scomponentsincludinglandscaping,lighting,lampposts, pedestrianpaths,seating,guardrails,andbrandingelementsmustachievethehigheststandards possiblewithinbudgetandtimelineparameters. Adheringtomycampaigncommitmenttoimplementandupholdahigherlevelofaestheticstandards forourcity,Ihaveaskedalongtimefriendandinternationallyrespectedprofessional,JerryPate,to assistmeinthereviewofthedesignsubmittalthatwasrecentlypresentedinlastweek'spublic workshop.InadditiontosecuringtheattentionofJerryPate,SteveDana,alandscapearchitectand seniordesignassociatewithintheJerryPateCompany,hasbeenevaluatingthedesignsubmittal package.Hehassharedvaluablerecommendationswithme,andIwanthisprofessionalevaluationand commentarytoimmediatelybeincorporatedintodesigndiscussions.InadditiontoSteveDana,Iam invitingBrianSpencer,inhiscapacityasarespected,localarchitecttovolunteerhistimeandservicesto collaboratewiththedesignbuildteam.IhavealsoaskedChuckTessiertoparticipateinavolunteer capacity.
