This thesis deals with the syntax, a branch of linguistics which focuses on the transformation of English sentences in the Corrs Lyrics Dont Say You Love Me. The objectives of study are to classify English sentences, to describe transformation, to analyse the English sentences to the deeper meanings of the structure of sentences by using tree diagram and to know the dominant transformation of English sentences in the Corrs lyrics Dont Say You Love Me. The scope of the study is about the transformation, deep and surface structures of English sentences in the Corrs lyrics Dont Say You Love Me which could be shown in the tree diagram. The writer takes the lyrics as population to be analyzed. The method of this study applied the descriptive qualitative method in order to analyse each sentence in the lyrics, classify the sentences by using properties of sentence structure and to show transformation of each sentences which contains deep and surface structure in tree diagram. This thesis is based on library approach. The findings of this study are relevant for people who need to understand the transformation in syntax. The findings also indicates the dominant transformation of English sentences in the lyrics.
