... to the inaugural Kerry Festival of Pride
The Festival will make its debut in the Kingdom this May with events happening across the County from the 20th to 26th May. Kerry Festival of Pride was established in October 2012. Kerry Festival of Pride primarily targets Kerry, secondly the rural regions within Munster and thirdly national and international LGBTQ pride tourists. Its origins are from several members of the LGBTQ community within Kerry deciding that Kerry needs to join its voice to the global celebration of the rich diversity that is within the LGBTQ community nationally and internationally. As this is our first year we are seeking partners to make the event a success.This is the start of an annual Pride Festival in Kerry. This brochure is your guide to how your company can be part of what will be an historic, inclusive, high profile and above all fun event.

What is Kerry Festival of Pride?

It is an opportunity for the wider Kerry community to celebrate & recognise the diversity of people within County Kerry. (Through the festival Kerry's LGBT community hopes to establish strong bonds of friendship and solidarity with all non LGBT individuals). It is an annual series of events which celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, queer, questioning (LGBTQ) life in County Kerry, Ireland. It is making its debut from the 20th - 26th May 2013. The festival aims to add to the diversity of pride events within the Republic of Ireland. It is taking a fresh approach on the idea of the traditional pride celebrated. The festival culminates in a family fun day on the 26th May. With the traditional parade event taking place on the afternoon of Saturday 25th.

event. The Billboards will be located in Tralee and on routes out of Limerick and Cork into Kerry.

How much will it cost?

The budget for this years Kerry Festival of Pride is 30,000. We have some fundraising done but are well shy of the finance required to stage the event. Therefore we are calling on companies to partner with us and sponsor some elements of the Festival. Sponsorship funds assist with the festivals operating expenses which include but are not limited to:

Family Friendly events Staging and Marquees Sound and Lighting Entertainment Advertising, marketing and public relations

Festival Merchandise Insurance Event Control (Street Parade and on street entertainment) Community based events

Poster Campaign and Advertising will be

targeted to clubs, pubs and venues as well as in targeted media up to 1 month before the event.

The new festival website and facebook page will be live by end of March. Press Releases and PR will be rolled out 1 month in
advance and leading up to the Festival.

Your sponsorship will allow us to meet these expenses as well as expand our community outreach focused on celebrating diversity and supporting the local LGBT community. Thank you in advance for assisting us to make the 1st Kerry Festival of Pride memorable for all who participate.

It is projected that over 5,000 people will visit Kerry for the Festival over the course of the week, the main concentration of people attending
the Parade and Street Carnival will be on Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking for sponsors for the various events and competitions which will be taking place across Kerry over the week.
