Gauge: MC: US # 10 needles; 13 St./18 rows = 4 in Stockinette stitch  CC: US # 8 needles; 15 St/20 Rows = 4 in Stockinette stitch Size: S/M [M/L], ts chests 32-38 [39-45] size shown is S/M Yarn: MC: approx. 3[5] skeins worsted weight recycled 100% wool yarn (approx. 200 yds/skein). CC: 1[2] skeins 3-ply worsted Fingerlakes Woolen Mill soft wool yarn (approx. 190 yds/skein). Ideas to substitute: Both MC and CC are a worsted weight 100% wool yarn. Really any worsted weight wool, acrylic, or blend will do Brown Sheep Co., Plymouth, etc. Note: All MC areas are stockinette stitch. All CC areas (shown as solid black cuffs, collar, and bottom band in photo) are 2x2 rib. Body: CO 56 stitches in CC on US #8 needles. Work 2x2 rib for 3, ending with RS facing. Place stitches on US #10 needles, and cut CC yarn, leaving tail to weave in later. Pick up MC yarn and work 2 rows in St. st. Next row (RS): K9, pm, K10, pm, K18, pm, K10, pm, K9. Work one more row on WS, ending with RS facing. On next row, begin the following pattern: *RS: Work across the row, and at every stitch marker, Kfb for the stitch just before and just after it, creating 8 total increases. WS: work even* Repeat between ** 20 [23] times. You now have 216 [240] stitches and 44 [50] total rows in MC. On next row (RS), work to rst marker, place stitches between rst and second marker on scrap yarn, and continue knitting between second and third marker without breaking yarn. Place stitches between third and fourth marker on scrap yarn and continue knitting to the end of the rst RS row, again without breaking the original MC yarn. You have now worked across the body while placing what will be the sleeve sections on holders to come back to once the body is nished. Continue working even in St. st. and MC for another 3, ending with a RS facing. On next row, do the following: S/M: *K17, K2tog*, repeating all the way across the row. Total of 6 decreases, 110 stitches remaining. M/L: *K19, K2tog*, repeating all the way across the row. Total of 6 decreases, 122 stitches remaining. Knit across WS row even.

Place stitches on US #8 needles, and break MC yarn. Pick up CC yarn and work in 2x2 rib for 4 [5] inches. BO loosely. Sleeves (repeat for both sides): Place one of the sets of stitches on scrap yarn with US #10 needles and MC yarn. Pick up 2 stitches along the body (where the underarm will be), for a total of 52 [58] stitches. Join round and work even in St. st. for 5. On next round, begin the following pattern: *R1: K2tog, work to end of round R2: work even* Repeat pattern a total of 5 [5] times. 47 [53] stitches remaining. Continue working around in St. st. until sleeve measures 12 in length from underarm. On next round, do the following: S/M: *K4, K2tog*, repeating all the way across the round. Total of 7 decreases, 40 stitches remaining. M/L: *K3, K2tog*, repeating all the way across the round. Total of 9 decreases, 44 stitches remaining. On next round, switch to US #8 needles, break MC yarn, and pick up CC yarn. Continue even in 2x2 rib with CC for 6, or until cuff covers wrist. BO loosely. Finishing: Weave in all loose ends, and darn underarms if necessary. Iron front edges at and sew in zipper. Blocking is not required. Wear with majorly hip attitude.
