1.INTRODUCTION
1. Introduction about the project The project titled as eCrime is a web based application. This software provides facility for reporting online crimes, complaints, missing persons, show most wanted person details mailing as well as chatting. Any Number of clients can connect to the server. Each user first makes their login to sever to show their availability. The server can be any Web Server. 1.2Objective of the system: Ensure data accuracys. Proper control of the higher officials. Reduce the damages of the machines. Minimize manual data entry. Minimum time needed for the various processing. Greater efficiency. Better service. User friendliness and interactive. Minimum time required.

Scope : This ecrime software provides facility for reporting online crimes, complaints, missing persons, show mostwanted person details mailing as well as chatting. Any Number of clients can connect to the server.This softare helps the visitor to see the latest hotnews which can updated by the admin,helps the user to report online complaints. Its makes user to add crime report,add missing person, and view their details as well This module helps the user to chat with the administrator or with other registered users and to send mail to the administrator. Admin maintains the database of the crime, replies to the user immediately and adds the hotnews for the visitors as well.

2.PROPOSED SYSTEM

The aim of proposed system is to develop a system of improved facilities. The proposed system can overcome all the limitations of the existing system. The system provides proper security and reduces the manual work. The existing system has several disadvantages and many more difficulties to work well. The proposed system tries to eliminate or reduce these difficulties up to some extent. The proposed system will help the user to reduce the workload and mental conflict. The proposed system helps the user to work user friendly and he can easily do his jobs without time lagging. The proposed system tries to eliminate or reduce these difficulties up to some extent. The proposed system helps the police station employees to work user friendly.

It is one of the first developed server-side scripting languages to be embedded into an HTML source document rather than calling an external file to process data. The code is interpreted by a Web server with a PHP processor module which generates the resulting Web page. It has also evolved to include a command-line interface capability and can be used in standalone graphical applications.PHP can be deployed on most Web servers and also as a standalone shell on almost every operating system and platform, free of charge. PHP was a competitor to Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP) server-side script engine and similar languages, but gradually received better acceptance is now installed on more than 20 million Web sites and 1 million Web servers. Notable software that uses PHP includes Drupal, Joomla, MediaWiki, and WordPress.While PHP originally stood for Personal Home Page PHP was originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995. The main implementation of PHP is now produced by The PHP Group and serves as the formal reference to the PHP

language.PHP is free software released under the PHP License, which is incompatible with the GNU General Public License (GPL) due to restrictions on the usage of the term PHP MySql: MySQL is a fast, easy-to-use RDBMS used being used for many small and big businesses. MySQL is developed, marketed, and supported by MySQL AB, which is a Swedish company. MySQL is becoming so popular because of many good reasons.

MySQL is released under an open-source license. So you have nothing to pay to use it.

MySQL is a very powerful program in its own right. It handles a large subset of the functionality of the most expensive and powerful database packages.

MySQL uses a standard form of the well-known SQL data language. MySQL works on many operating systems and with many languages including PHP, PERL, C, C++, JAVA etc.

MySQL works very quickly and works well even with large data sets. MySQL is very friendly to PHP, the most appreciated language for web development. MySQL supports large databases, up to 50 million rows or more in a table. The default file size limit for a table is 4GB, but you can increase this (if your operating system can handle it) to a theoretical limit of 8 million terabytes (TB).

MySQL is customizable. The open source GPL license allows programmers to modify the MySQL software to fit their own specific environments.
