It makes efficient use of the advance technology and has ambition to discover more. Computers have the great impact on the profession of accounting. With the rapid growth of technology toda y, there is no doubt that computer will become a common asset in all profession. The program also allows the monthly payroll schedule to be calculated ac curately. Just by having all employees info like name, wages etc. to enter in the database. Therefore, payroll can be done with the guide of the program. The sys tem is good in for its specialty in the fields of accounting. It is easy to use, effective and efficient in organizing and calculating the payroll. In addition, this study aims to develop a reliable and manageable computerized payroll syste m. The Proposed Computerized Payroll System will give a big relief of the employ ee and employers as well. .Background of the Study Nowadays all establishment are becoming modernized, they use modern tech nologies to make their transaction fast, easy, and accurate in order to avoid wa ste of time and for the sake of safety and security. It also helps human to solv e and understand complex problem and analysis such us the computational need of humans. Especially to business establishment or corporation processing enormous data and complex transaction. Payroll is an example of a complex transaction bec ause it is a critical business operation dealing with numerous accounts and prod uce plenty and confidential files. Payroll is encompasses every employee of a co mpany who receives a regular wages or other compensation due to each. Applying manual procedure on a Payroll transaction involving the vast beat answer in that problem would be computer because computers can simula te enormous data and can process complex transaction in a fast and efficient way . It can generate numerous accounts and data accurately. A Computerized Payroll System will not only provide accurate calculation and fas t process of Payroll transaction but it will secure data through security implem entation and accordingly arrange files provided by a well-designed database that will produce a paperless environment. Statement of the Problem 1. Time consuming process of payroll preparation The Nyanmaru Company is still using the manual method of payroll process. A lot of jobs are assigned to the payroll maker and accounting clerk, with cause s incon venience to their services. In this method, it will need more time and manpower to complete the payroll of each employee. 2. Laborious payroll process Nobody could admit the inescapable fact that what makes the manual procedure tak e a long time to finish the task is due to the many steps and processes to under go. There is the collection of data such as SSS and individual manual calculatio n of payroll. Individual data is transferred through sheets, encoding and double checking after calculating. All this process requires labor and effort to compl ete the task. 3. Misposting and understating of employee s data The logical process of manual procedure result to too much time consumption. It often times result in misposting and understating of each employees data of plen

ty of files that is hard to accommodate. Objectives of the Study This study is intended to design and develop a Computerized Payroll System for N yanmaru Company for calendar year 2013. Specifically, this study aims: > To minimize the effort of the bookkeeper in processing the Payroll Slip and Pa yroll Form. > To make an efficient and accurate computation of Payroll. > To create a well-arranged database and to implement strong security of the sys tem for data security. > Maintain accurate records of employee salaries and wages earned and paid, taxe s withheld and other voluntary deductions. > To improve the existing system s services, in order to increase employee and emp loyee satisfaction , provide the quality and create a controlled

Scope and Limitation of the Study Scope: The system is designed for the enhancement or development of com puterized payroll system. Functionalities: > The system can compute the wages of each employee. > The system can keep track of absences, withholding taxes and other deductions. > It can add, edit, delete and search employee records. > The system can update employee s information as well as the salary, overtime per day and absences. > It can generate and print pay slip of each employee. Non-Functionalities: > The head administrator will be the only one who can manipulate all the records . > It has log-in and log-out process for security purposes.

On the other hand, this study limits only to the proposed enhancement compu terized payroll system. Limitations: > A proposed system which can only be access by authorized person. > It does not support network topology implementation, online program or online transaction. > To find out what is the salary history of an employee. > To develop a system that will eliminate the problem of insufficient and incomp lete information.

Significance of the Study The proposed system benefit the Payroll maker/bookkeeper . It will help to lesse n the time and effort of the payroll maker/bookkeeper preparing payments of empl oyees. The System develop can accommodate changing figures and produce a paperle ss environment through well design database. * To Proponents This study will help the proponents to enhance the ability on how to create an u nderstandable computerized system in an easy way. This will serve to the propone nts as a challenge to do a better system. * To the other Researcher This study gives knowledge to the researcher on how to create a Computerized Sys tem in understandable way. This will serve as a fresh ground for the researcher whose study will be related in the field of Information Technology.

Hypothesis of the Study Nowadays, technology is highly needed by many companies in orde r to make certain task in a fast and easy way and manual process should be domin ated. . A system that provides financial records, calculations, and information of every employee. The proposed system is design to produce payroll checks with app ropriate salary, overtime, and deductions for employees. The computerized payro ll system save time and money, they re very easy to use and they re also very practi cal.
