INTERNSHIP Indian Oil Corporation Limited,Panipat,India Hammering in the Condensate Line (SWING Unit) ( May 23, 2011 - July 15, 2011 ) The summer internship included the In-Plant training at IOCL Panipat Naphtha Cracker, Haryana.Studied the SWING Unit which manufactures LLDPE/HDPE both and worked on the problem of water hammer in condensate line of reslurry heater of SWING unit. Cited possible causes and gave suggestions to resolve the problem. PROJECTS Indian Oil Corporation Limited,Panipat Cooling Water Distribution System ( June 20, 2011- July 15, 2011 ) Was part of the team working on maximizing the flow velocity from cooling water piping system,the whole model was simulated and the causes of restriction in flow were found out. Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee Developing pipe flow of inelastic Non-Newtonian fluids ( August 2011 - ongoing ) The project involves computing the development length required for fully developed laminar pipe flow in inelastic Non-Newtonian liquids obeying the power-law model and proposing a unified correlation for X/D which should be valid for a certain range of Reynolds Number and flow behaviour index.
