Starting the upgrade
1. Non-Students should follow the upgrade link https://cisco.netacad.net/personupgrade/upgrade (this link is also available from the NetSpace banner in Academy Connection) and enter their Academy Connection username and password.

User Import Page

Set NetSpace password and screen name
1. Review your suggested screen name for NetSpace and change it if desired. 2. Set your password according to the following rules.
Passwords must be at least eight (8) characters Screen Names or part of Screen Names as passwords are not allowed Previous passwords may not be used Passwords must include a lowercase (e.g. abc), an uppercase(e.g. ABC), and a number (e.g. 123) 3. Set your birth date, agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Submit.

1. From the Training and Upgrade page review the training tutorials and documentation shown in Step 1 on the page.

Launch Simulation Activity

Launch the simulation activity to check your readiness to upgrade.
1. Go to Step 2 on the training and upgrade page and click Begin Activity to launch the simulation. Note: The latest version of Firefox and Google Chrome are recommended for the NetSpace simulation activity.

Complete the Simulation Activity

Complete the simulation activity to check your understanding of NetSpace and readiness to upgrade.
1. Complete the simulation activity by following the prompts on the screen. The assessment is checking that you click in the right place for the specified actions.

Upgrade to NetSpace
Complete the upgrade to NetSpace
1. Once the activity has been completed the Training and Upgrade page will refresh and the Upgrade Button will be available in Step 3. Click Upgrade to Cisco NetSpace.

Complete NetSpace Profile

Complete the missing fields on your NetSpace profile
1. Complete your profile by adding the following: Country State City Gender 2. Click Save.

Start using NetSpace

Your upgrade to NetSpace is complete.
1. Once the upgrade is complete you will see the NetSpace Home page with the tabs associated to your role (Teach, Manage, Learn, or Cisco)
