History
Severochema was set up on the 1st of October, 1953. It partially continued in the traditional production which had its roots in the existing registered office of the company since 1884. The production was at the beginning concentrated in the plants located in Liberec, Varnsdorf and Horni Rasnice. In 1958 the production was transferred from Horni Rasnice to Liberec. Thanks to the investments in its development worksite and own formulas, the cooperative developed from an originally regional manufacturer to the position of a prominent manufacturer of chemical products, supplying the entire market of that-time Czechoslovakia. In the period after November 1989 Severochema underwent a transformation process and, as one of the few companies in the region, managed to come through the tough competition of the market environment without any foreign capital entering the cooperative. In the recent years the company export has been developed and currently Severochema supplies their products to the markets of Hungary, Slovakia, Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, etc.
