Listening Speaking Content Standard Learning Standart 4+ Task 1 BI 1.2.1 Listen to and repeat simple greetings Assessment can be done in two ways (choose one method only) 1. through singing tune : Happy Birthday Good Morning To You Good Morning To You Good Morning To You Good Morning To You (replace the greeting with good afternoon, good evening and good night) (marks : 10 marks for all correct greeting) 2. teacher will say the greeting and children will repeat after teacher (marks: 10 marks for all correct greetings) Task 2 BI 1.2.2 Listen to and respond verbally to simple greetings with guidance 1. Teacher will greet the student and the student will reply with the correct response e.g Teacher: Good Morning, Hassan. Hassan : Good Morning Teacher. ( marks: 10 marks with all correct responses) Task 3 BI 1.2.3 Listen to and identify objects in the classroom BI 1.2.4 Name common objects in the classroom Teacher will be using 5 different objects in the classroom; the teacher may use real objects or use picture cards to stimulate the students (marks: 10 marks for all corrects identification) 1 ` (BI 1.2) Listen to and understand meaning simple words

For these skills all the assessment are given in appendix A. Reading Skills Content Standard Learning Standard 4+ Task 4 BI 3.1.1 Recognise letters of the alphabets by their shapes Task 5 BI 3.1.2 Recognise letters of the alphabets by their names For this time of period we are going to concentrate on the vowel only. (a,e,I,o u) Writing Skills Content Standard BI 4.1 Pre-writing skills BI 3.1 Identify letters of the alphabets

Task 6 BI 4.1.1 Engage in activities requiring eye-hand coordination BI 4.1.2 Draw lines, circles and patterns using gross motor and fine motor movements

Appendix A Assessment 3 BI 4.1.1 Engage in activities requiring eye-hand coordination BI 4.1.2 Draw lines, circles and patterns using gross motor and fine motor movements Teacher may ask the students to cut the shapes, join the lines and also colour the shapes.

Listening Speaking Content Standard Learning Standard 5+ Task 1 BI 1.2.6 Listen to and respond verbally to greetings Marks will be given if students can respond to the verbal greeting given by teacher. Examples of greetings : Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night, Good Bye. (marks: 5 Marks for 5 correct responses) Task 2 BI 1.2.8 Name common objects in the environment Teacher will be using 10 different objects in the environment. Teacher may use real objects or picture cards to stimulate the students. (Encourage students to answer in full sentence) (marks: 10 marks for 10 correct identifications) Examples of pictures (BI 1.2) Listen to and understand meaning simple words

Task 3 BI 1.2.9 Listen to words said aloud and respond accordingly Teacher may ask questions to students and students will give the responses in terms of words or actions. (5 questions) Examples of questions: - What is your name? - How old are you? - How are you today? - Show me your knee? - Point to your mouth? - Where is the cupboard? (marks: 2 marks for one correct answer; 10 marks for 5 correct answers) Task 4 BI 1.4.3 Listen to and follow instructions Teacher will give instruction and students will follow. ( limit to 5 instructions) -Examples of instructions: -Please stand up -Please sit down -Please line up -Go and wash your hands -Can you blink your eyes? (marks: 10 marks for all 5 correct responses)

BI 3.1 Identify letters of the alphabets

Task 5 BI 3.1.6 Name letters of the alphabet 1. Sing the ABC songs ( 5 marks) 2. Teacher will asked student to recognize the letter by the picture given (5 marks) Example of worksheet is in appendix B Task 6 BI 3.1.8 Hear and sound vowel sounds Teacher will ask student to sound the vowel and identify the vowels . Example of assessment is in appendix B (marks: 5 marks for all correct answers) Writing Skills Content Standard -
