RICE 2013 VISAYAS

Regional Innovation Conference on Education My World, My Philippine, My Province: Moving Towards the Post 2015 Regional Education Agenda Cebu Institute of Technology - University, Cebu City, May 4, 2013 OBJECTIVES 1. Deepen awareness concerning the progress of the education Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Education for All Goals (EFA) to 2015 and beyond in the regions. 2. Develop a clear understanding of UNESCOs mission and vision in the light of Education for All (EFA) thrusts on educational innovation in the region. 3. Promote volunteerism as tool in bringing the gaps of educational reforms in theory and practice through existing partner institutions like Go Ahon Pilipinas and EDSA People Power Commission. 4. Increase the membership of NAUCP in the region by orienting the participants about UNESCO, UNESCO Clubs accreditation procedures and the benefits of becoming an accredited UNESCO Club. PARTICIPANTS The Regional Innovation Conference on Education (RICE2013) will gather a minimum of one hundred to three hundred educational leaders, researchers, policy-makers, pioneering practitioners, youth leaders and industry-experts from the cross-section of the region to foster new partnership and develop innovative solutions to provide a community-based approach in the post 2015 education MDG and EFA goals. REGISTRATION FEE A registration fee shall be collected and is inclusive of program materials, meals for the duration of the conference only (two snacks and one lunch). Airfare shall be shouldered by the participants or by their agency/institution. Additional payment of Php 500.00 to join the optional tour the following day which includes lunch and snack. Checks should be made payable to National Association of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines, Inc. or payments deposited at the Banco De Oro-SM Manila Branch with Account No. 0004-70592567 . Please accomplish this REGISTRATION FORM, scan the DEPOSIT SLIP and send the files (Registration Form and Scanned Deposit Slip) via e-mail to rice2013visayas@gmail.com AND riceunescoclubs@gmail.com with RICE 2013 Visayas FINAL as the subject title. IMPORTANT: If you paid by depositing directly to the NAUCP Bank Account, DO NOT forget to bring your deposit slip as proof of payment upon registration on the day of the conference. You may also scan the deposit slip and send it together with this confirmation

slip via e-mail. Otherwise, your claim to payment will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of the delegates to ensure that the organizers receive the full payment of the registration fee without any deduction for bank charges. Your registration is only completed upon full payment of the registration fee. Please note that discounts are only applicable for full payment transaction prior to the conference. In case you are unable to attend the conference, request for cancellation or substitution must be received in writing by the National Association of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines or email us at least 14 days prior to the start of the Conference . Approved requests will be charged 25% of the registration fee for cancellation/service fee. Request for cancellation made less than 14 days before the conference will not be refunded . LIABILITY The RICE Secretariat and Organizers accept no responsibility for any damage or injury to persons or property during the conference.
