In this unit, we have explored how intolerance can have a major impact on individuals, groups, societies and countries. With this assignment, we will explore how intolerance affects an individual through his/her writing. Assignment: Choose one character from The Diary of Anne Frank. Think about the story from his/her point of view. Write ten diary entries written in the first person to describe how intolerance affects him/her and others. Your diary will include factual information from the play, as well as your own ideas of what it might be like to live in the secret annex as that character. You may want to add a cover and put your entries together in a booklet style. Be creative!
