FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I apply to trade online? You need the following to trade online: i. Register with JupiterOnline at www.jupiteronline.com.my ii. Visit our Customer Service Department to complete the Trading account and CDS (Central Depository System) account application forms. As per Bursa Malaysia guidelines, you are required to be present before a licensed dealers representative or an authorised officer of Jupiter Securities who will witness your application. Alternatively, you may choose to sign before a Notary Public as a witness. Note: If you are already an existing Jupiter Securities client, this process is not necessary, as you need not complete the account opening documents again. For further details, please contact our Customer Service Center at 03-20709800 or servicecenter@jssb.com.my 2. I am already an online trading client with Jupiter Securities. Do I still need to register with JupiterOnline at www.jupiteronline.com.my? Some of our existing clients are trading online via URL www.just-asec.com.my and www.jetfm.com.my. Jupiter Securities will soon decommission online trading via these URLs and provide an improved online trading system to our clients via URL www.jupiteronline.com.my. For security reasons, you are still required to register with JupiterOnline and the simple registration process should not take you more than 5 minutes. Upon successful registration, you should be able to trade online the next day and your access via www.just-asec.com.my or www.jetfm.com.my will be disabled. 3. Do I need to pay any subscription or membership fee? The JupiterOnline trading facility is provided FREE to all clients who have a Trading Account with Jupiter Securities. 4. If I am a foreign resident, how do I open an account? A Notary Public is required to witness your application on the Trading account and CDS account application forms. Please contact our Customer Service Center to arrange for the delivery of the account opening documents. 5. Can I open a Joint trading Account? A joint or a partnership account is not permitted under the existing Bursa Malaysia Depositorys guideline. 6. What is the minimum age eligibility to apply for a Trading Account? You need to be 18 years old and above. 7. Can I open more than one account? Only one trading account per client is allowed. However you may open a separate margin trading account with our panel of external margin financiers. 8. Do I need to furnish a valid email address? A valid email address is necessary to ensure that you will receive our important notices and announcements. 9. How soon can I start trading online upon my successful registration and submission of the account opening documents duly witnessed? If you are a new applicant, you will receive an email notification from us providing you a Client Code. This will normally take within 24 hours. Once you have deposited money into your trading account or transfer shares into your CDS account with Jupiter Securities, you may login to JupiterOnline using the User ID and Password you created during the registration process and start trading using the Client Code provided. If you are an existing client and already have Trading and CDS account with Jupiter Securities, you will receive an email notification from us providing you with an Activation Code. Login to JupiterOnline using the User ID and Password you created during the registration process and activate your online trading account by entering the activation code. You may start trading if you have available trading limit or shares in your CDS account. 10.Will my deposit earn interest?

Jupiter Securities will pay interest on your available deposit balance and as required under Section 111 of the Capital Markets & Services Act 2007, your deposit will be placed in "Clients' Trust Account". The interest will be credited to your trading account at the end of each month. 11.What is the minimum deposit that I need to place in my trust account before I start trading? No minimum deposit is required, particularly if you are only selling shares. However, your trading limit to buy shares is dependent on your deposit. 12.How will my trading limit be computed? If your trading account is on Cash Upfront basis, your trading limit is almost equivalent to your available deposit minus the transaction costs (i.e. Brokerage, Clearing Fee and Stamp Duty). If your trading account is on collateralised basis, your trading limit will be computed based on 2 times of your available deposit balance plus 1.5 times of your fully paid securities pledged with Jupiter. Please take note that the transactions costs mentioned above would only be deducted from your deposit when you have successfully transacted buying of shares. Your deposit will remain intact if you do not trade and you may withdraw it at any time subject to two working days notice. 13.Will I receive contract notes or monthly statements? Contract notes and monthly statements will be mailed to you. You can also view online details of your outstanding contracts and historical transactions. I am transferring my shares from other broker to my CDS account with Jupiter Securities. Do I need 14. to do anything? Please inform our Customer Service if you wish to sell the shares urgently and have the shares reflected online in your account. 15.Can I short sell? Short selling is illegal and not permitted. You must have shares available in your CDS account before placing any selling order. 16.Can I carry out Direct Business transactions or Odd Lot transactions via online trading? Direct Business transactions (such as married deal or crossing) and Odd Lot transactions are not facilitated via online trading. 17.When must I pay for my purchase contracts? If your trading account is on cash upfront basis, your cash deposit will automatically be deducted to settle the purchase contracts on T+3. If you are not trading on cash upfront basis, e.g. collateralised trading, you must make arrangement to pay Jupiter Securities not later than 12.30 pm on T+3, failing which force-selling will take effect on the next business day, i.e. on T+4. 18.How can I make payment to Jupiter Securities? You can either make payment via online banking or bank-in direct to any of Jupiter Securities following bank accounts: Please make cheque payable to Jupiter Securities Sdn Bhd For < Your Name > or < Client Code > i. Your sales or contra gain cheque will automatically be credited to your trading account on the due date to ensure that your trading limit is not affected. In addition, Jupiter Securities will pay interest on your available deposit balance. However, you may withdraw your available deposit balance at any time subject to two working days notice. For this purpose, you may contact your Dealers Representative or our Customer Service Center at 03-20709800 or servicecenter@jssb.com.my 20.What if I cannot access JupiterOnline. What option do I have if I want to trade? You may call our Dealing Team at 603 20269691 to place your order. However, please take note that you will not be eligible for a discounted brokerage rate if your order is placed offline. 21.What if I forget my password? Subject to verification, you may request to reset your password. Please call our Customer Service Center at 0320709800 or servicecenter@jssb.com.my 22.What is the minimum PC requirement to access JupiterOnline? Pentium 3 with at least 256MB RAM and Internet Explorer version 6 and above.
