For me as a student, working means learning.

In architecture, being a creative job, all the work is just for de clients needs. So before starting a project like a house for example, the architects have to get to know very well the client, his way of living, of working, his job, his hobbies, his familys needs..etc. And this beginning part of a project when meeting the client and working very closely with clients or users, is for me a lovely one and a benefic one also because I think that in this way the architect make sure that the project will match their needs and will be functional, economical and safe. I like working in an architecture office because I have the opportunity to work at a project from start to finish and that means working in teams with interns, engineers, surveyors, urbanists, designers, land planners etc. The architects usually are thinking the idea of the project, the spaces, the planimetry always in sketches and simple drawings and then the students are doing the detailed and technical drawings. This part I dont like that much because working just at the computer can be very exhausting and tedious(anost). But there are offices which have many students as interns and when they start a new project, they let the students make their own proposal and then show it to the client and let him choose his favorite one. And this way of working I love most because its like in school, with the difference that I have the opportunity to present to a real client my idea. But surely, then the architects are improving my idea to get to a better one. But then, if my idea is chosen I can be involved from the earliest stages of the project, wich can starts with developing more ideas with the client, establishing budgets, assessing or estimating the needs of the buildings users and its impact in the local environment. I also like the part when visiting the site and verify how constructors are working, ensuring that works are carried out correctly by the construction site chief and that the project is running on time and budget. The ways of working I love most in an architecture office are of course discussing with the client, his objectives, his wishes and the budget of the project; then consulting with other professionals above mentioned urbanists, designers etc.. then I like also producing detailed drawings but not the technical ones, then maybe preparing if its necessary presentations about the project and sure being certified that at the end the building is what hes users need. In this job one wont find ways of working like teleworking, or shift-work, consultancy or hot-desking; maybe just something like job-sharing, a way which I love, because it means that when a project is started and me or another collegue have to do the staff part like technical drawings we can shift each other. Also temping can be a valid way of work for me as a student because I can get to know new people and then choose whos way of making projects I like most.
