PURE CYCLING
PURE CYCLING
We want to build the best bike. We feel a sense of obligation to satisfy the demands of the biker community and our customers. Thats why we place the utmost demands upon our products and services. This applies to research, design and development as well as to the assembly of bikes and customer service. We take the time to conduct elaborate tests and ride the trail or on the road one more time to find out for ourselves just what it is were creating, so we really know what were talking about. We take responsibility for
our sport and inspire a big community of cyclists. This is something we do with all the passion we can muster. We want to share our passion for the sport. Being part of a community of like-minded people means we have a constant exchange of ideas with our customers in order to stay well informed about the demands they place on our products. The customers are our motivators, provide us with impetus and are also our advisors. We actively seek contact to them and endeavour to engage with them in a mutually beneficial dialogue. We represent a forum and
community for passionate racing cyclists where there is an active discussion and exchange of ideas. This enables both us and the customers to progress together. This solidarity with the biker community forms our backbone and helps us to keep in perspective why we actually do the work we do. We seek to return the inspiration the sport gives us by providing every rider with the opportunity to make his very own contribution.

The team of Canyon engineers develops and uses the most innovative production and testing methods in order to make our bikes the safest and most efficient in the world. Every bike is developed, assembled and test ridden at Canyon.Home in Germany all under one roof. This has been the secret of the Canyon success story and numerous test victories and awards demonstrate this. Canyon bikes have won the title of Bike of the Year on 37 occasions and have also received 15 renowned design awards. Canyon is a leader in R&D in the cycle and cycle components industry in Europe. This has been proven by numerous trendsetting innovations such as the Maximum Seattube or the VCLS Technology, which are registered trademarks. Our engineers, product managers and designers achieve
high standards with every model they produce and consistently endeavour to inspire the sport with scintillating innovations. We also cooperate with numerous scientific institutes and institutes of technology and initiate our own research projects in the areas of material development, comfort and aerodynamics. An example of this was a research project together with the Institute for Composite Materials in which we succeeded in increasing the comfort levels of our carbon frames to hitherto unachieved heights. Our own test lab at our company headquarters is particularly proud of its test stand using computer tomography equipment (CT), which is completely unique worldwide. This equipment allows every part of the bike to be scanned right through to the core of the material, thereby guaranteeing uncompromising quality. Before assembly
100% of Canyon forks undergo the safety check in the CT. We can also test your carbon frame after a crash to test for any damage and determine whether it is still roadworthy.

Erik Zabel
The most successful professional racing cyclist in Germany, Erik Zabel, knows exactly what makes a real winning bike. With the newly designed frameset we set new benchmarks in the combination of rigidity, weight, comfort and competitive design. The modified Dura-Ace Di2 with 11-speed cassette guarantees electronic shifting at world-class level. The shift system allows crisp and precise shifting without moving levers using the integrated Sprint Shifter, which also guarantees superb function when in the sprint position. A further great feature is the extremely rigid and distinctive 4-Arm Dura-Ace crank, which will also be compatible with the 2013 transmission without any modifications. The wheels on the Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 ETE are also of premium quality. The high-end Cosmic Carbone 80 wheels from Mavic are among the most rigid in the world and the first choice of our World Tour Team Katusha.

High-end and a unique appearance the new Canyon Speedmax CF for 2013 (ROADBIKE.DE) ...the result is an extremely well thought out piece of speed weaponry (BIKERADAR.COM) However the fine details that Canyon has integrated into the Speedmax CF make the time-trial and triathlon bike stand out from the majority of the competition. tri-mag.de (TRIATHLON 101/2012)
As the most elaborate development project in the history of the company, the Canyon Speedmax CF sets benchmarks in aerodynamics, flexibility, and system integration. After more than 100 air-flow and stiffness analyses as well as tests in the wind tunnel, the Trident-Profile was able to establish itself as the best tube design ahead of the tear drop design typically used in aviation. 20% greater stiffness, 8% less frontal surface area and up to 25% less susceptibility to cross winds are significant arguments favouring this tube design. Brakes integrated into the fork and chain stays reduced the contact surface for the wind even further. The cockpit thats unique to Canyon offers triathletes and time-trial specialists alike total flexibility thanks to the huge number of combinations of stem, handlebar, extensions and spacers that are possible. In addition, the bike permits an almost complete integration of the cables for the brakes and electronic shift system. Alongside the first successes in competition in 2012, the Speedmax CF has already received the red dot design award best of the best.

The Nerve CF sets new benchmarks in terms of efficiency, rigidity and stability. The core of the frame is the one-piece, full carbon rear triangle. The Canyon Flex Pivot Technology has enabled us to dispense with pivot bearings on the rear chain stays, thereby making a significant contribution to weight reduction. The required flexibility is provided by the flattened and extremely flexible carbon seat stays (Flex Pivot Seat Stays), which combine with the chain stays to form an extremely rigid and flexible rear triangle. The bike's equipment also exudes sheer luxury. The premium XTR groupset with Shadow Plus technology provides precise and reliable shift performance in all types terrain, and the gold Kashima coating on the FOX Factory fork guarantees a consistently smooth response on uneven surfaces. Whether you're riding on blocked root sections or powering up steep trails, the Reverb Stealth Dropper Post will always allow you to find that optimum saddle position at the mere press of a button.

Verdict: a superbly equipped lightweight enduro bike with great touring potential and playful handling. (BIKE 07/2011) The Strive is an excellent, light all-rounder with premium components and will impress enduro riders who like touring.(MOUNTAINBIKE 05/2011)
Direct handling, agile and extra light with the superbly equipped light enduro, each and every challenge is mastered like a professional. The Trail Optimized Geometry with a low centre of gravity and short seat stays provide agile riding characteristics uphill and downhill. The X-12 thru-axle delivers an extremely rigid rear triangle and the Mavic Crossmax wheels guarantee that the bike stays firmly on track even in the tightest of bends. And even if it gets really hairy on the descent, the new four-piston Avid XO Trail brake will provide both powerful and reliable braking. Shimano's premium XTR groupset as well as the light and durable Race Face crank combine to deliver the optimum transmission for this scintillating piece of alloy weaponry. The premium, lightweight FOX Factory fork with Kashima coating guarantees a consistently smooth response in every situation and in terms of appearance really stands out from the crowd. The light and rigid cockpit with its carbon handlebar beautifully polishes off the ensemble on this high-end piece of engineering.

Large wheels - great appearance. The new Canyon carbon rocket made its competitive debut at the Craft Bike Transalp Challenge 2012 and was an instant success story as Alban Lakata and Robert Mennen from the Topeak-Ergon Racing Team stormed to overall victory. The ingenious carbon lay-up delivers excellent rigidity and comfort and leaves the competition in its wake. The Impact Protection Unit (IPU) protects the top tube from impact with the handlebar in the event of a crash. The full SRAM XX groupset guarantees optimum transmission of rider power and satisfies even the highest of demands in the areas of weight, performance and rigidity. On the front of the bike the RockShox SID XX WC fork absorbs every bump and uneven surface on both cross-country and marathon courses.
