RESPONSIBILITIES:
Opto-Mechanical Engineering Design, Product Development
Supervise the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Develop complex laser systems in a multi-disciplinary environment, from feasibility studies to
successful NPI using the Product Develpoment Process.
Conduct conceptual and detailed design reviews for lasers’ opto-mechanical components.
Manage detailed design and development tasks including systems engineering, electrical and
controls design interface, design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
Propose Cost Reduction programs resulting in improved functionality, product performance
and durability for all lasers platforms.
Responsible for all aspects of NPI, including scheduling, cost analysis, materials procurement,
budget, team leadership and product performance.
Apply personal knowledge and hands on experience in opto-mechanical design to have a
significant role in the creation of new designs for state-of-the-art lasers and laser systems.
Standardize mechanical components across laser platforms.
Oversee the thermal, fluid and stress analysis of new lasers’ designs using ANSYS FEA.
Perform failure and root cause analysis using FMEA and recommend practical solutions.
Lead the development of engineering design and document control procedures and standards.
